Anyone having trouble making ressies lately?!?

I just was on hold for an hour before giving up. In the past few days, every phone call to dining has been AT LEAST 30 minutes, and most of that is not being on hold, its how long it takes to make a couple ressies.

During past trips, I used to be able to make a week's worth of ressie in like 15minutes, now it took at least 3 hours so far combined time and I'm still not done.

It would be one thing if this was using an 800 # but we all know its not, so I have to use my cell's minutes - this is ridiculous!

Is it just me or are others having this problem?!?

I am having the same problems. I have been on hold for almost 2 hours now waiting to make ressies for the 27-29. I got my other ressies, but had to be transferred. Beginning to wonder if someone is ever going to pick up.

Hang in there. They eventually pick up. It took me 4 transfers and 1 1/2 hrs to get after 5/25 ressies

I guess my question is why? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? what's the point of a new system (assuming this is the culprit) if it makes it this much more difficult to make ressies?

I just posted a reply through the DDP thread on this too. I am on hold for 2 hrs and 15 mins now. I wonder if their call center is not staffed up enough since it is Sunday and they are handling 90 day out calls to start a holiday weekend??

Has anyone answered for you yet? I just made another call on a different phone and asked a CM if this was normal and they said since it was the weekend it is not unusual.

Still on hold. 2 hours and 40 mins. I'll let you know when/if something changes.

I have no idea, but I wouldn't be suprised if they cut down on staff at expected "off peak" times to save money.

I have now been on hold for 2 hours and 52 mins. The CM that transferred me apologized, explained that there was VERY high call volume. She did say that they are trying to get through it as fast as possible. She said that they had over 200 people on hold right now. How they now how many are on hold is beyond me but that is what she said. I feel really sorry for these CM's. They are having to deal with some very cranky people today! I am in central time zone so I got up at 530 this morning to make ressies. I used my son's cell phone to call and make the first few days of ressies. So at one point I had two cell phones to my head. I really really hope that I get what we want but at this point I am doubting it. Boyfriend wanted to eat at LeCellier. I just don't see that happening at this point. So off to find a back up!

CM came to the line at 3+ hour point and I wa able to make my dining ressies. I am now back on hold with her as she is trying to assist with my KTTK tour and BBB reservations.

Wow! I feel lucky. I called yesterday at about noon and waited only 5 minutes. I was able to get everything I wanted at the time I wanted for our long weekend trip on April 24-27. It was almost too good to be true. We got Jiko, Cali Grill, and Bistro de Paris. At some point I'll call to confirm. I never expected to be able to do so well.

Yup....I have been on hold for 2 hours now. I was able to make my ressie's for the Memorial Day weekend, and then the CM said she had to transfer me to another person. She said something like only a handful were trained on the "new system", so they don't have as many people able to take ressie's. Sounds kinda weird..... I just hope I am able to get Le Cellier and Chef Mickey!!!

Gosh, I hate to hear stories like this. I called May 17 and didn't even have to hold ... got everything I wanted, including Le Cellier, within about 20 minutes of our preferred seating times.

Just lucky, I guess. New systems = kinks.

I am sure the long wait times have something to do with the fact that it's Sunday, as well as today and yesterday being the first days you could call for Memorial Day Weekend ressie's.

I was having the same problem this morning! I finally got mad, hung up, called back, selected the "other" option and was able to talk to a supervisor. She was able to make reservations for me 5/26/09-5/29/09. She was very nice! I suggest that you try this method of making reservations as it worked for me.

The waits aren't isolated to the new system. We have a trip coming up in May. I've been on hold 20+ minutes every time I've called. This is with calling random days & times. I had a similar wait to book Biergarten for last weekend. I didn't have anywhere near the wait time, when booking our Oct, 2008 trip. I feel for those of you waiting 3 hrs. That is absolutely ridiculous! I'm getting very frustrated with a 20 - 45 minute waits.

I thought Bistro only booked 30 days in advance. Do you know when the actual booking window is for this restaurant?

I'm going to try this because I've been on hold forever, have to use cellphone minutes and I'm running out! and I only need to make ONE ADR!
It didn't say other- but I tried the "none of these" option and then it asked me if it was for 26-June 2nd to press 1- i didn't. was I supposed to? I figured if I did it would just put me back to the same hold line as before? I'm confused how you spoke with a supervisor.. I think now I'm just on hold for the dates before May 26th. sigh

I've now been on hold for 1 hr. 40 mins. I got my daughter's cell to see if I could get through quicker without selecting "1" and I keep getting an all circuits busy message.

I would hang up but then I feel like I've wasted that much time of my life and have nothing to show for it.
