anyone having Facebook issues?

I know I got a virus - 'cause I sent it out to others & they let me know about it - I actually just saw messages in my inbox about it - then heard from a friend that clicked on somehting that I supposedly sent her & it completely shut down her computer - I didn't click on anything on mine - but I can't even pull up FB now (could las night - after the virus)

I just type in the addy & the computer thinks about looking for it & then that's it - nothing.

Wasn't sure if anyone else is having those kind of issues - cause the rest of my stuff is working just fine...

One of my FB friends account was hacked. I got a note from "facebook" telling me Sue sent a message to me. When I clicked on it, the link said "leaving FB ......". I deleted the whole thing and didn't click on anything else. She said her FB account was hacked. The others in our group are talking about removing a virus.

I'm new to FB and haven't really figured out how the thing works.

it doesn't mean that you sent it, facebook , myspace, and even e-mails are routinely hacked and they send out mass mailing of viruses or spyware. Don't feel bad, feel mad at whoever did this to you.

Borrow a friend's computer and try to sign on. If you can sign on from another computer, the problem is with your computer. If you can't sign on from another computer, then the problem is with your account.

Have you run your virus protection software since this all happened? Have you cleared your cookies?

One of my 'friends' on FB had this happen to him as well. He did work with FB to get all his stuff changed. Now he's back up and running.

My cousin's account also got hacked and got a virus. I haven't had any problems like that but for the past few days Facebook is running very slowly.

I was fine this morning, but now it doesn't come up at all. Which is why I'm on the Dis now....

My friends account was hacked too...said I had a msg in my inbox from him. I opened it, but didn't click the link inside, so hopefully I'm ok... he said alot of people got a virus from it. I haven't had any issues of signing in or out of it tho since....

I'm getting warnings about this from all my friends. Phony emails are going out...don't click on any links. So far I'm ok.

What's so weird is I never did click on any links and when I was at another computer that's when I saw the info on my act from friends that I was hijacked...then opened it here at home several hours later & it seemed fine - read my home pg then went to check it again & now if I type in FB in the tool bar it just closes out automatically - it doesn't even try to open it..

Anyone have any ideas how to fix it?

Gonna go try my cookies like suggested....
