anyone having any luck on upgrades

At WDW Resorts ???

wanting to upgrade from standard veiw garden room to the towers at the contemporary ,

has any one asked or tried lately,, hope I hope

We checked into the Contemporary on 6/2, with a reservation for a standard wing room. I had requested first floor. When we got there (at about 0900) I expected to be told that the room would not be ready for quite a while. What a surprise when the CM said, "Oh, I have a first floor room available right now, but it is a bit of a walk. " It was a bit of a walk - the last room out on the point of the lake - but it was AWESOME!!!!!!! If you look on the Contemporary layout map, it was room 6108. We had two windows - one looking out on the lake, and one on the waterway which leads to the MK. We could see the boats, water mice, etc. going by all day, and the Electric Water Parade went right by our window!!!! We only had a connecting wall with one other room so it was SUPER quiet. As far as the walk goes, it was about 3-5 minutes to the tower, food court, front desk. I would take that walk anytime to stay in the same room again. I wish you the same kind of pixie dust.

In reading these boards my impression is that upgrading to the tower is pretty difficult. Especially if you go during busy times. Even if you upgrade to the tower I would assume you don't get a park view.
