Anyone have this Silver Cross stroller?

I'd really like to get this for my dd(2) but often wonder if it will be worth it because she would only use it on occasions like mall or Disney. Plus its is black and might attract sun making it hotter for her.

Before you buy, know that Silver Cross no longer distributes in the U.S. and, at least for the moment, is not doing warranty work. I've read of quite a few problems with these strollers, mostly with the wheels. www.windsorpeak.com has message boards and product reviews with firsthand accounts, if you want to read before buying.

Personally, I'd be inclined to spend another $20 and get a Maclaren Quest at www.albeebaby.com.

The Micro doesn't have a recline either. But the Mini does. I have a mini and love it. I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Yep I knew that dd is 2 and doesn't like to recline anyway and will whine until I move it up.

I was wondering about this stroller also. I saw the Maclaren triumph at Babies R Us and really liked the material. Is the material of the Silver Cross similar to the Maclaren?

Yes, I have the stroller (in red - it comes in three different colors, I believe) and I absolutely love it!! It is so light and so sturdy and I have had no problems at all with it. I bought it from albee baby online.
I was debating between the Silvercross and a Mac and was told by too many people with Mac's that their customer service was awful. That's the only thing that kept me away from them. Good luck choosing!

Some friends & I purchased this for a friend who is a breast cancer survivor. She is very happy with it and has said many times she really likes it. We've had a black-trimmed Combi stroller before & really didn't have an issue with it getting to hot.

They do again - they are out of CA - I believe a new guy bought the company if I remember correctly - in any case, the definitely are back in the US. They were at the last JPMA market in April. (In Orlando!! One of our "no kids"trips! LOL)

No this is recently, like the last month or so. There's a message from Silver Cross UK about it up on the silvercrossbaby website. It all happened really fast and they went under without notice.

Wow! You're right! I'm so glad we cancelled that order for $5K of the strollers!!!! We decided after the market that they looked too much like Maclaren and that the Maclarens are better made - but geez that was close! Thanks for the info -
