My DH has left me with all the planning ....
We leave on March 3rd - driving.Staying at Disney for 4 days , family for the rest of the 2 week vacation.
He has told me this year he would like our time at Disney to be more spontanious , not so rushed.. play it by ear..( no pun intended..).
How is that possible with dining resevations and only certain parks open for EMH? Has anyone booked multiple dining resevations JUST IN CASE and cancelled that day ?Please help!

We have booked multiple dining and cancelled the week before. You know how it is to have plans change. Much less daily plans change.

Are you Disney veterans? We have been so many times, that we don't "have" to see and do everything -- everytime that we go now. That said, basically, we skip the park with the early opening -- that way we can sleep in a little later. We try to arrive at the park we are going to at least 15-20 minutes before it opens. We hit the couple things that we really want to seen/do and then we relax a bit -- getting fast passes throughout the day. We usually schedule sit down meals every other day and do counter service meals on the other occasions -- that way we don't have a "time to be there schedule" the entire week.

I guess it all depends on just how much you feel like you have to do during your vacation. But, I know my DH likes it a lot better now that his wife isn't in the commando mode during our entire vacation.
