HI all,
We went to Disney in October and bought a little cinderella and Jasmine toy that had removeable clothes and shoes. The clothes are rubbery and stretchy and they just stretch to fit. The things are next to impossible to dress/undress. My DD's can't do it themselves so they are always asking me to dress/undress them. Well I have ripped a few of their clothes. I went to the Disney store at our local mall expecting to be able to buy a new one but they don't have the same sets. They did have the same toy but in a different set with less accessories so I didn't get one yet. Then later I was at KB Toys and saw polly pockets with the same type of rubbery stretchy clothes. They looked similar in size. Does anyone have both and know if the polly pocket clothes will fit the disney dolls? They had a huge set of Polly Pocket clothes and accessories for just $20.

I actually have a few sets (not bought at WDW but at the Disney stores). Yes, the clothes rip easily, and so do the dolls! We have decapitated a couple of them, and lost some lower extremeties too. My DD4 is constantly asking me to change their outfits also. The shoes never stay on either! The accessories are so tiny and I'm always afraid I'm going to vacuum up half the toy one day. I have never tried fitting the polly pocket clothing on the dolls, but I am sure they will fit. They're a pain in my *** but for some reason the girls love them! They can play for a long time with them, so I don't mind too much.

We have a couple of the Disney sets. Ours have heads that snap off, so the decapitation is intentional and harmless. Pain in the you-know-what to dress and undress anyhow, and the shoes don't stay on. DD will play with them as long as I have the patience to re-outfit.

Now I know to never let her know of the existence of Polly Pockets!

DD says they do fit - she just checked for you. Only the Minnie Mouse is too small to wear the Polly Pocket clothes. Some fit better than others though.

P. S. In our house they share a tub and are all called "squishies."

We have these...we have lost some heads and torn some clothes as well, but dd loves them!
I recently found sets at Wal mart and they were fairly inexpensive. They had quite a variety as well.
Can't help with the polly pocket question though, sorry.

I hate those dolls! My DD4 & dd7 have them, and love them, but they can not do the clothes without help. Actually, I can't even change some of the outfits!

The dolls that you can get at Target, etc. are much easier to dress and their heads don't come off. I like them so much better than the ones that we got at WDW this summer (most are broken).

Well, Allie LOVES them. She's had several heads come off, on both the ones from Target & Disney. The latest set is designed with removable heads. Also once the hair came off so we have a bald one around here, but the BEST PART

One day last spring Allie came to me & said she had lost her Ariel's shoes. Where? "In my NOSE!" Apparently they had several pairs and that's where she put them for safekeeping. She kept saying it was the yellow shoe. So off we went to the emergency room where she PROUDLY told the nurse that there was a shoe in her nose (You could see it, but it was too far up for me to feel comfortable pulling it out and she couldn't blow it out) So her dad races to the ER (he's a sheriff) and everybody's there and the doctor comes in and has me hold her, and the nurse takes her other side. He uses a really long pair of thin forcepts to pull out a YELLOW shoe and a PINK shoe.....
But then the doctor told me last Christmas he pulled a jingle bell out of a kid's nose....

So this is fun for Allie, everybody's there and we're worried. She gets to play in Daddy's patrol car, he makes the lights go on.....

The next week she announces that she wants to see her Daddy so she's going to put a shoe in her nose again....... But I had already thrown them away

The really funny thing was she kept saying "I got it last time" So how many times had she stuck those shoes up her nose and managed to get them back out?

I did notice on the last set the shoes weren't rubbery, but hard like Barbie shoes

Too funny. I am sure it wasnt at the time but...
DD4 has not tried that, but she did remove her earrings and swallowed them once. That too was an ER trip and a quick $500 copay!

Not sure if he PP clothes fit the princesses but the PP's are so much better. My DD can easily take their clothes off & on, the princesses are awful. My DD actually threw hers away she was so aggravated with them and this is a girl that saves everything!

Polly pocket clothes should fit

I just asked my DD10 who has aton of PP and Disney Princess of these things. She says she uses the outfits an dolls on each other. To quote. "I can dress the Polly's and the Disney ones in each other clothes. But sometimes the girl clothes are tight on teh boys." :confused3 :rotfl2: Do I even want to know how she knows this?!?!?!:lmao:

We rec'd a set of Snow White for DD4's birthday and I was warned so the shoes never made it out of the package and went straight in the trash. That nose thing is crazy!!! Good to know about the Polly Pocket dolls.

DD6 has TONS and I mean TONS of Polly Pockets and a few of the Princess ones as well. The clothes are interchangable. When she was younger, I did have to help her but now she can dress most of them herself. She also likes to just line up the clothes and make "families" w/ them. Poor kid, she would love to have a sibling!

Does anyone else think the removable heads are a bit creepy? DD only has a removable head on Jasmine (same as OP's DD) but I always find it creepy to see Jasmine's other head laying around!!

As PPs have said the clothes do fit and they are a PITA. I also threw away the shoes right away.

One tip - I bought DD and my neices each a tackle box (like an actual fishing tackle box) for their Polly Pockets/Princess dolls and it works awesome. Each doll has their own compartment and you can sort the clothes. DD loves that she can carry them around with her easily.

This may sound awful. But I cut all the Princess dresses up the back. So they are more like reverse robes now. It makes it a lot easier for the girls to pur the clothes on the dolls now. The only hard part is the sleeves. I've thought about cutting all the dresses into short sleeves. But I haven't yet. The Polly Pocket clothes are not as fitted on the arms. So they are a whole lot easier to put on. I even had to cut some of the princes outfits. The girls were a little upset when I told them I was going to do it. But after they didn't mind. My 3 year old can put most of the clothes on by herself now.

Please I hope she doesn't put any up her nose! Although she is obsessed with her ears so she would probably put something there first! YUCK!

Thanks everyone. I'm at least happy to know I'm not the only one having this problem. Who in the world invented such a dumb style of clothing? Obviously someone with no kids. DH saw some pieces of ripped clothing laying around the other day and he said they ripped ANOTHER ONE? I said no they can't even dress them by themselves I am the one that has ripped the clothing. And I really do hate that the stuff is so darn tiny. They are always asking me if I have seen Cinderella's scrub brush.

I did get them 4 new sets today at KB Toys today since they were on sale buy 3 get the 4th free plus an additional 15% off. So that made them just $7 a set. The sets didn't have as many accessories as the ones I bought at Disney World but maybe it will keep the DD's from asking me when I'm going to return their broken clothing for a while. And next time I'm at the mall I'm going to pick up that set of Polly Pocket Accessories.

So funny you were asking about these dolls. My DD's also bought them and they broke soon after we got home. DD4 told me that the first thing she wants to do when we get back to DW is go to that store that has new dolls.:scared1: So we are going all the way back to Disney just to buy new dolls.:lmao:

These things are awful. My wonderful MIL introduced these to my DD last year along with Polly Pockets....the clothes tear, impossible to put on, and I vacuum up at least 1 polly pocket shoe daily..thank god she loves Barbie now.
