Anyone have the Chocolate Martini recipe from the Martini Tasting on the Magic?

On our last 7 day Magic cruise we attended the martini tasting. There were two martinis I loved, the fruity pink one, and the chocolate one. Does anyone have the recipes? I can't even remember what the fruity one was called, but they said it was a cross between an apple martini and a cosmo. I've done an internet search for a chocolate martini, but all the recipes are just vodka and Godiva chocolate liquer. This one on the Magic had more ingredients than that.

I didn't pay too much attention during the tasting because I thought they would give us some sort of print out at the end showing what we had had. They didn't. And we got to talking with the couple we sat with and had a great time. By the time we all got up to leave, no one else was there, so there was no one to ask.

Thanks for any help!

I don't but I just had a Mudslide Martini that was awsome. 1 part Starbucks creme liquor, 1/2 part Starbicks Coffee Liquor, 1/2 part Vanilla Vodka & they swirled Choc in the glass First. It was very good. Try Webtenders.com & whattodrink.com

The chocolate martini was called a Tobleron Tini.
Made with 1/2 oz of Bailey's, dach of frangelico and a dash of kahlua.

The other one was probably the Apple Tini.
Made with 1/2 oz of Vodka, 1/4 oz of apple pucker and a dash of dry vermouth.

On our seven day eastern they held two martini tastings (we did both). Five different martini's at each for a total of ten.

Yippee! :bounce:  :Pinkbounc

Okay, so I REALLY like Martini's!

ReneeQ,

if you went to the same martini tasting that I did, the fruity pink martini was a cosmopolitan.

2 oz vodka
2 oz cranberry juice
1 oz lime juice
3/4 oz cointreau

Here's a good one for you that the hubby and I like - we made this one by accident.

1 1/2 oz vodka
1/4 oz kahlua
1/4 oz grand marnier

Good stuff!! We love martinis!!!

D'OH! Here's a recipe we have for chocolate martinis...

1 1/2 oz vodka (regular or vanilla flavored)
1/2 oz dark choclolate liqueur
1/2 oz white chocolate liqueur

I do know that the ones we tried on the Magic had frangelico in them, but I don't have those recipes. Sorry!

Happy drinking!! :teeth:

Thanks everyone! I tried emailing Disney Cruise using email Figment52 suggested and it came back "no known address." Thanks for the help!

MARTINI TASTING! :goodvibes

Thanks for the heads up. When did they add this? Definitely something new since my last cruise and defiinitely something I want to do!

Wow! After the tequila tasting that day I couldn't do the martini tasting.

ok, it was sold out :rotfl2:

Thanks for the great recipes. I think I'll just have to try them all ... as soon as I find the white choc liqueur. Sounds too yummy for words :cool1:

This thread has the making of another "Cranberry or Pineapple" thread...

but here is a martini cocktail that was made for us on another cruise...unfortunately not DCL ...wonder if they carry eggnog...

Anyway - "delish" is not nearly good enough to describe this experience...

Santa's Sleigh Cocktail
White sugar crystals, preferably coarse
2 cups store-bought eggnog, chilled
1/2 cup brandy
1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
4 cinnamon sticks
Dampen the rims of 4 martini glasses and then line the rims with sugar crystals.
Combine eggnog, brandy, amaretto, nutmeg, and ice cream in a blender; process until smooth. Pour mixture into martini glasses and garnish each glass with a whole cinnamon stick.

These recipes sound so good. I am not much of a vodka fan, but I may have to try some of these!!!

My Chocolate Martini recipe is:

1 ounce clear creme de cacoa
1 ounce premium vodka
splash (about 1 ounce) of simple sugar (can either boil 1 cup water with 1/2 - 3/4 cup sugar to make your own or purchase the Pat O'Brien's simple sugar in the liquor section)

Rim the glass with Hershey's chocolate syrup and drizzle the inside of the glass with the same.

Start with a chilled glass always!

When we went on our last DC in Feb 2004, no one on the ship knew how to make Chocolate Martinis. I'm glad they are coming around!!

Oh Karen - that sounds delish!

How rich is the chocolate martini? I am not an overly huge fan of chocolate so would it be something I couldn't finish?

For what it is worth - I love martinis and I love chocolate. But I DO NOT like chocolate martinis!!! Just too sweet but yet alcoholic taste. Sorry - can't explain the combo, but it isn't for me I just stick to my many other favorite martinis
