Since Kohl's has a 30% discount code if you type in CHRISTMAS30, I would be interested in getting the new Skechers Shape-Up shoes for our upcoming trip to Disney.

Does anyone have these shoes? Are they comfy for commando park people like me? ;)

The price is $99, but the 30% really brings it down!

I bought them, but only about a week ago! They take a little getting use to, but are very comfortable (I work on my feet all day). I have no idea if they actually work though.

I'm glad you said they are comfortable. Everything I try to wear at Disney gives me blisters. I just don't want that to happen again. My feet are just throbbing at the end of the long day.

I got the cheap Therashoe (like Shape Ups) at KMart and love them. Same concept, and they are super comfortable (and only $30). I do, however, also have an arch support insole in them because I have flat feet and bad arches. You can see them online at www.therashoe.com

I totally plan on taking them with me to DL in March.

My hubby saw a commerical fr these and said that I should get them!:confused3. Wasn't quite sure how to take it. (lol) They do look like they would be comfortable.

Don't take it the wrong way from your DH! I am only 118 pounds, but I want to tone up instead of just being "thin."

I also want to be comfortable for the first time in Disney!!!

My neighbor has them. She use to walk about 3 miles every night and when she started wearing them she had to cut it down to 1 mile at first. She said they really worked her legs and back-end. She has since quit wearing them

I would suggest wearing them for awhile before Disney!!

That is some good advice!! I will definitely make a note of that. I like to walk a lot.....now that we have snow on the ground, it is just about impossible!

I've had them for a couple of months. I used to walk around 3 miles during my lunch hour. When I wear these shoes I find it difficult to do more than a mile. You can really feel the muscles working in your legs after even a short walk.

They are definitely comfortable but I don't think I would recommend them for Disney. I walk a LOT more in Disney than I do on a typical day - probably around 5 miles. If that "felt" like 15 miles due to the shoes, well - :scared:

Anyway, I would get them, especially with that great deal, but I would either not wear them to Disney or I would bring another pair of shoes to at least alternate them.

They are great for short walks (under an hour) at home. I wouldn't (and didn't) wear mine to Disney though.

my sister got a pair recently- she has foot problems- and she said they are great. She doesnt use them for walking though. She says they help her with the standing she has to do at work.

I was thinking of getting a pair too.....!!

I read a post some time ago about these kind of shoes. The poster said that they wore these sneakers at Disney and the next morning counld not move. It was just too much for all the walking that you will do at the parks.

Good to know.....thanks!

I went ahead and bought them with the 30% discount at Kohls. I will try to wear them A LOT before I decide if they are right for DISNEY -Commando style of course!;)

my problem is that i have to have a wide width. skechers aren't normally wide. good luck with your shoes. i wish i could get a pair. i am going to look at the less expensive ones mentioned.

Does anyone know the difference between these (Skechers) and Reebok ones?

I hate to sound silly, but I just don't like the way the heel on the Skechers looks. But the Reeboks.....look just like normal sneakers

I don't have these shoes (but wanted the MBT's when they came out) but I am considering these. Just wanted to add that I wear a pedometer while at the parks and on average we walked between 7-9 miles a day. I think that would be an awful lot of walking in these types of shoes.:confused3 My feet hurt and I wear my comfy old broken in sneakers.

Try QVC.com. Mine are on backorder/waitlist, but I'm 98% certain they're Skechers, and wide.

Also see easyspirit.com - they have a version there which is available in multiple widths.
