One night I was almost asleep and dh had his arm around me ..I felt this like tug and some noise but I was asleep then it happened again this time I was more awake and dh arm was jerking back with his hand closed he did several times - that morning I asked what that was all about and he thought for a min. like he didn't know what I meant so i asked him what he was dreaming - he said he was trying to start a lawn mower that wouldn't start and it was making him mad :lmao:

i teased him and teased him about starting a lawn mower in his sleep...:rotfl2:

No, but I say really stupid things in my sleep. A few weeks ago DD was at her Dads and wasn't feeling well so she called to see what she could take. I told her to take her old medicine because she's Irish. (We aren't Irish)

Then last night she was in the bathroom and needed a tissue to blow her nose. She called me to get her the box in the family room ( yes, she's that lazy!) and I told her the money was in my purse.

Now that I think about it, I did punch my ex-husband in the face once because I was having a dream someone was chasing me down a flight of stairs, and I woke up and punched him It happened when we got along, so it really was a dream about someone else!

My DS11 has been known to walk and talk in his sleep. Sometimes he'll come into our room and say silly things until we figure out he's asleep. A couple of years ago, he came to my side of the bed. I opened my eyes and his face was literally inches from mine. I said, "What's wrong?" He said, "What do you want me to do?" I said, "Are you OK?" He said, "Yeah, but what should I do?" I said, "Go back to bed." He said, "But, but, but what do you want me to do?" I realized he was still asleep so I walked him back to his bed. The next morning, I told him what he did. He said, "Oh yeah! I had a dream that you kept telling me to do chores and I kept asking you what I had to do next." Too bad he doesn't ask to do chores when he's awake!:lmao:

now that is a good one :goodvibes

My bro one time sat up in his bed and yelled "prepare ya my children for I am coming" :confused3

we asked him about that morning and he had NO idea what we were talking about still doesn't..that was weird

Years ago, I was up early getting ready for work, and the phone rang. DH was still asleep. I ran into the bedroom to answer the phone, and DH had our kitten up to his ear saying hello...hello...hello, getting madder and madder that no one was there:rotfl:

i am married to a nocturnal hummingbird!

dh has a habit of rolling over in his sleep and on many occasions he's rolled off the bed. the funny thing is he will roll off the side of the mattress and although he's DEEP asleep he will start flapping his arms like wings-and i SWEAR he hovers for a second or two before he hits the floor. it's just like watching the hummingbirds on our deck:rotfl2:

my mother has a history of talking in her sleep-and engaging people who happen to walk past her room in odd conversations. one of the most memorable for me was when i stilled lived with her and happened past her room late one night, she called out my name several times and then loudly announced 'if you're hungry i left you a nice grilled cheese and rhinosaurus sandwich in the backyard-it's tied up back there, you can just put it in the microwave':lmao::lmao:

I tend to say goofy stuff in my sleep if I'm really exhausted. I was at a summer camp once and was rooming with a friend of mine. The door to our room would stick really bad and always made a loud noise when you finally could get it to close.

One morning, my friend was getting up early to go on a hike with some other friends and had forgotten something and had to come back in the room. She accidentally slammed the door and thought she woke me up. She apologized and I told her, "It's ok. The butter's in the refrigerator." :teeth:

I freak my DH out a lot! I didn't really co-sleep with DS when he was younger but for about two weeks between week 4 to 6 I would sleep in his room and pull him into bed with me around 2AM to nurse and we would fall asleep.

Months later and still sometimes now if I am really tired, I will sit up in bed reaching for the baby because I think he is rolling off the end of the bed. I have rolled DH over in my sleep, in a panic, because I think he is laying on the bed. I have woken him up screaming asking where the baby is and moving all the pillows and looking under the bed. :confused3

My DH has a tendency to 'run' and talk in his sleep but the worst ever was when he grabbed me by my shoulders, picked me up and threw me over himself and out the bed. I woke when he grabbed my shoulders but was not alert enough to do anything to prevent the ensuing 'flight'. A bit surreal to awake in 'mid-flight' on the way to the floor:laughing:

Next time, tell him to sweep the floor or put away his laundry.

My Daughter is a sleep talker. One of the funnier ones is when she fell asleep in a chair in the family room. She sits up reaches down over the edge of the chair and says "Come on grab my hand" she kept reaching and getting more anxious with the "Grab my hand"
Eventually she pulled them up and said "Oh thank goodness" then fell flat on her back back to sleep.

In the sleepless early days of parenthood, DH found me in the middle of one night getting very frustrated that my pillow would not latch on and breastfeed.

Growing up, my brother would sleepwalk to the bathroom. Only he could never find it in his sleep. He's been found peeing in various places around the house- into a flip up hamper, a laundry basket, a closet, the middle of his sister's (mine!) bedroom floor (I believed for a long time that it rained in my room that night because I could hear it and woke up and the floor was all wet), and the funniest was when he ripped off the clear plastic you put over windows in the winter, threw up the window and was peeing thru the screen out into below 0 winter temperatures. All sound asleep and no memory of it in the morning.

These are all so funny.

My BIL and his family has a sleepwalking (and talking) history. Once, he woke up yelling, threw my sister out of the bed and proceeded to beat the crap out of the bed. My sister (snake phobia) asked him what the heck he was doing. He started yelling about all the snakes in the bed. Of course, she freaked out until she figured out he was asleep and had no idea what he was talking about.

And when the same BIL was young, he woke up to the sound of pounding on the hard wood floor. He woke up just in time to see his little brother jump out the window. No idea why. Thank God they lived in a one story home (it was still raised off the ground).

I've talked in my sleep too many times to pick one story, but I kicked DH once in my sleep.

My Dsis was a sleep walker when she was young. Apparently so was DH.
Unfortunately DD got the gene. She talks a lot! She also walks all over. We now have the doors dead bolted because she tried to go outside one night in her sleep! :scared1:

Most times I will find her sitting on the couch watching TV. I know she's actually sleep walking because she's watching what ever channel was last on when I turned it off, so the Weather Channel, QVC, HGTV and not Disney. :goodvibes I didn't realize how much she talked until we recently got back from our DCL trip where we slept in the same stateroom. Good Lord, that child is chatty when she's not awake. :lmao:

I have a few...

When my grandfather broke his hip, he ended up confined to a wheelchair and we had to set up a bedroom for him downstairs. It was next to the kitchen. Grandpa had a tendency to sleep half the day. One afternoon, while having coffee at the kitchen table after grocery shopping, he started his "trying to wake up" groaning. Then we clearly heard, "That's enough of that. I get up." He then proceeded to snore for another two hours.

One time, when I was in that place between awake and asleep (KWIM?), I literally had a spasm in my leg. It shot out and I kicked my ex square in the butt. I may even have bruised him.

Another time, I woke up to see my ex get up to go to the bathroom. He was still mostly asleep, though, and walked right into the door frame. He took a step back, shook his head, stepped to the right, and went through the door. I guess you had to be there, but at the time, it was pretty funny.

:rotfl: I can see DH doing that.

These are really funny!! My middle dd walks/talks in her sleep. I have found her in the hallway thinking she is in the bathroom(if you know what I mean, lol)she came downstairs the other night and told me she was bored. I said "You're suppossed to be bored, you're asleep." She will cme down and tell me that her sisters socks aren't in the drawer..just silly, nonsensical stuff. She scared me once when we were on vacation though. I woke up b/c I heard a door and thought she went in the bathroom. Nope, she was in the hallway of the hotel. Thank God I woke up. I can't believe that she unlocked the latch and everything sound asleep.

My Brother was a sleep walker - one time remember when he was real young where we lived it didn't have back steps off the back door and it was very BIG step to the ground, My mom woke up for some reason just as my brother almost went out the door and if he had he probably wouldn't be here now ... that was scary ..but we found him all over the house when he was asleep :lmao:
