anyone have problems getting non-smoking room w/priceline?

I know that you are only guaranteed a room and they can take a request for non-smoking. I guess I am trying to figure out what the chances are of getting stuck in a smoking room. My daughter is allergic so it would really be a problem.

If I get don't get this trip planned soon...my head will explode!! sure wish disney had rooms available

the two times I did priceline - it was a big resort and not a problem getting a non-smoking rooms.

some resorts like the Sheraton Vistana don't even have a non-smoking room - but again it was not a problem. no smoke smell at all.

I am allergic to smoke - I can get ashama.

make sure you bring her allergic medicine!!!!

We had a problem only once via Priceline. We had 2 rooms at the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird (didn't like it here- but thats another story). Anyhow, we wanted 1 non-smoking and the other didn't matter (as it was MIL's- she smokes but she'd go outside if they only had non-smoking). They only had smoking rooms available and were not accomodating at all. Thankfully, 1 of the 2 rooms had no smoke smell at all and the other was just awful. So, MIL took the smelly room (she was going to smoke in there anyways if it was allowed).

With an allergy, I would not use priceline. I would want something with at least a semblance of a guarantee.

That's harder than it seems, because most conventionally-booked rooms only offer non-smoking as a request, rather than a guarantee, but still.

Thanks everyone! I was struggling with the idea of getting stuck in a smokey room so I decided against Priceline. I would have been worried up to the time of check-in so my DH said it wasn't worth it. We were lucky to get a room at the Dolphin

I'd love to find out what's going on at WDW that weekend. We've been several times thoughout the year and have never had such a time getting a room

Didyou get a good rate at the Dolphin? Years ago, Dolphin and Swan used to come up on Priceline. No more.
