Hi!
I'm thinking of trying to print up some coupons to use for "good behavior" for our son...to earn toward a WDW trip.

We are all booked for 5/1-7 and I haven't told my son yet. I thought I'd print some coupons or something and he can "earn" them. If he has enough by his b-day in April (say like 20 or 25) he gets a trip to WDW. I'll take them away for bad behavior as well.

Anyone have anything like this, or know of somewhere I could go to create something like that?

Thanks all!

I don't have any coupons......but this is a great idea. I may have to borrow it from you. We already have our 2008 trip booked. We have been doing something similar with disney dollars but I think I like this one better.

I don't have any either but my GOD, I would love them...please post if you have these!!!

I don't have any such coupons - never put a formal reward system into place before.

I know you didn't ask for opinions about whether you should do this or not, and I don't want to step on any toes here. But I wouldn't do this unless you are fully prepared to cancel the trip if he doesn't earn enough. Otherwise your word will mean nothing, and that kind of scheme would be unlikely to work for you again.

I'm not sure I could tentatively plan a trip and then cancel it b/c my child didn't behave well enough. I love WDW so much, I'd want to go regardless, which would be very bad for my discipline plan. And if I did stick to my guns and cancel the trip, I'm not sure if I could do so without feeling at least a little resentment towards my child for unknowingly putting me in that position (yes, I know it would have been me who put us there by tying behaviour to that reward, but I'd be disappointed that he couldn't get with the program, ya know?).

Anyway, I just wanted to give you some points to ponder before implementing such a scheme. My personal view is that a trip to WDW is just too big a deal (for us, anyway - maybe it's not for you) to make into a reward of that kind - I'd use smaller, more local excursions for that. JMO.

I do the reward system for my two older girls who are 7 and 9. If they clean their room and help out around the house I give them a Disney dollar. Now I just print them from online and cut them out for them for savings. When we do actually go to Disney they will trade in their fake Disney money with me and I will give them the real money for they can buy stuff with it.
It works everytime for me. We did this system in 2005 and the girls each had over $250.00 to spend.
Now you could also do the sticker thing where you give them stickers for each time they are good and let's say 10 stickers = one Disney dollar. Something on the lines of this.

print them and cut them out to use.
