Do you need to make PS for lunch during the week? How's the food? Do they take Disney Dollars or the Disney Rewards card? Thanks in advance for any imput you may have.

We always make a point to eat an early lunch there every year that we go. We love the food. The ESPN club is better in WDW than in DL. We have never had any trouble getting in but we do go shortly after they open at 11:00 am. My dh loves their tuna sandwich.

We went on Monday without reservations for lunch at around 1:00 or so and were able to get seated right away. Good service, and loved the food. Liked it much more than the Rainforest Cafe.

Food is good, better than the Rainforest Cafe. Try the cheese fries, and if you're a drinker, the blue cheese martini is excellent.

Ate at the ESPN Zone here in Vegas, awesome food at an awesome price. Well worth it if you ask me! Lots of selections and good food, certainly can't go wrong.

I agree with this statement. I finally visited ESPN Zone in DL last March and was really looking forward to it, as I love ESPN Club in WDW. We went for lunch, during the week, at about 2pm and were immediately seated. We had horrible service, and the chicken wings we ordered (okay, I know I might seem picky because I'm from Buffalo, but...) were greasy and gross...the ones at ESPN Club in WDW are some of my favorite wings anywhere.

I would go there again to try, as any restaurant can have a blip in service, and I agree that the food is probably better than Rainforest, but unfortunately, I do not have any good personal experiences there to share.

I don't know, I just sit in the bar. No kids, no wait, no problem. :D

Never had great luck in August getting seated right away. We use the MVP card and make the PS when we get there. Whole family enjoys the lunch. Wife thinks the wings are on the spicey side, but she does not like anything spicey.

We just visited the restaurant last week (twice) for the first time. I'm in agreement on the food - better than the Rainforest Cafe and definitely cheaper. From what I remember, there are two rooms to dine in when you go to the ESPN Zone website. We ate in the Screening Room, which has the huge screen TV. It seemed louder than the other room, but the Hockey finals were also on. If you are going solo or with one other person, I would also recommend the "recliner seats" in front of the big TV. They're novel.

Signing up for the ESPN Zone MVP Club before you go is a great idea - you get bonus points in the upstairs gameroom (which is worth looking around) and you can make weekend dinner reservations a maximum of 3 days out. You can make these directly on their website after signing up for the card. Disney Dining actually made our PS reservations for a weekday lunch time, but I don't think they can make weekend reservations.

Hope this helps - have a great time!

We really enjoy the salads, they're very big and it sure feels healthy after eating at the parks.

The kids meals seem to have gotten healthier lately, fruit with yogurt dip as a side. My girls really liked them.

One bit of advice if you're dining with small kids: specifically request that the children's plates not be heated. The ESPN Zone policy is to serve ALL dishes on "piping hot" plates...even the kid's meals  We learned the hard way that it can be avoided all together by asking for room temperature plates for the children when ordering.

Have a great trip!

I'm going to disagree with Sabres2008 and Kimis here - I think the ESPN is far better at DL than it is at WDW. Probably because the one at WDW is much smaller, they also have a smaller menu - 90% of it seemed to be burgers, sandwiches and hot dogs. Which is fine, but sometimes you want something a bit more. Whereas at the ESPN at DL, there were tons of dishes to choose from including many types of pasta, pizza, salads, soups, steak etc. that weren't available at the other one.

I ditto that. I think the DL ESPN Zone is FAR better than the one at WDW.

I would highly recommend going there. It is one of my favorites at DtD...the other one is Jazz Kitchen, but they are two totally different types of places.
