Anyone have luck w/wait list less than 30 days before check-in?

Hi guys-
I have a 1-bedroom booked at OKW for 3 nights in mid-August. We really like OKW, but we stayed there on our last trip and were looking for a change. Unfortunately, this was a last minute trip, so its the only thing left. I'm on the waitlist for any 1-bedroom at BWV, BCV, WLV, or AKV. I'm now within 30 days of check-in and the waitlist has not come through. I'm thinking now that we're in the dreaded "Holding Account" window, I'm thinking the chances of snagging a cancellation are pretty dim. Has anyone had any success with the waitlist under 30-days from check-in?

Yes. I even had a waitlist come through after I had already checked-in, thus allowing us to NOT move to another room. I don't think you have much to lose by staying on the waitlist. At the 30 day mark be sure to call MS to inform them that you want to stay on the waitlist. At the 7 day mark there is no more waitlist and you will need to call MS every day to check. Good luck!

Last year in October, we got a 2BR at the BCV one day before our arrival. We had planned on staying at OKW. We called every day to check availability and sure enough, a room was available. Stay on the wait-list. It can't hurt. I also don't think it hurts to call every once in a while.

Last year our BCV waitlist came through 8 days before check in, so I would think your chances are good.

Did you "renew" the waitlist at 30 days? Otherwise it cancels.

I had BCV 1 bedroom come clear about 2 and half weeks out.....

Boy, thanks so much for that-it really encourages me to have hope! Right now I'm booked at BCV for 2 days, then BWV for 2 days for an upcoming trip. Unfortunately, BCV wasn't available for all 4 days, so I'm waitlisted so I won't have to move. Yes, there's a chance!
