Hey there! We got our reservations for 3 but now my niece is joining us on this trip. Has anyone successfully added one more at check-in? I have been trying to get a new Ressie for 4 with no luck, We are going July 2 at 8;15

Try calling the Disney dining line, they may be able to add her over the phone. I wouldn't wait until you arrive at Pioneer Hall - what will she do if she can't be added???

i’ve already tried Disney dining. They’re really not helpful like they used to be in the past. They just see what I see when I login. We were just at Chef Mickey’s a couple of weeks ago with three of us and they sat us at a four top with an empty chair. I am just wondering if anyone has ever had a similar situation. At Disneyland they can usually squeeze in an extra person onto your reservation. We’ll see what happens when the time comes. It just is going to be what it’s going to be .

Do you know where you booked your table? That could make a difference. Before covid we once had a party of 3 and we were up on the balcony, it was 3 chairs only, no way to add a fourth. It looked like they added the third chair because not all the tables like ours were 3 tops. One side of the table was against the balcony rail, then one chair on each end of the table and the third chair across from the balcony rail. The view was not so great for that person. We did book at the last minute, so we had to take what was available. I *think* they assign seating as reservations are booked, I may be wrong. I do know your table is assigned before you arrive for the show.

thank you! And yes, unfortunately we’re on the balcony section 3. I didn’t think about one side being against the rail which would prevent adding an extra chair. My niece is 30 so it’s not like she’s 10 and can’t be left alone lol. We still have time, so I’ll keep trying for a cancellation but sounds like we shouldnt plan on just showing up and hoping she can fit in.

I would definitely keep trying to find a table for 4. We have had a lot of success with reservation alert services - a lot of people cancel as the reservation date approaches. I think it is very unlikely they will be able to accommodate you with a walk-up. The tables are pre-assigned and there are never extra chairs at the tables - they are set for the number of people reserved for the table. Since your niece is older, sure, you could try! Worse comes to worse, they say no and she waits for you at Ft. W? She could get dinner at the QS, visit the gift shop, take a walk, even boat back and forth to MK?

Thanks everyone! We are changing to Story Book with Snow white. I was able to snag a ressie for four there. We’ll just hit hoopdee doo next time
