Just curious to how you have dealt with it, what foods you eat, what foods you stay away from, and how often do you eat? Thanks.

First i had to give up having a large coffee and 2 doughnuts for breakfast!

I used to do cream cheese on bagel but cream cheese packet was only 2 grams of protein.

Look at number of grams protein compared to number of grams sugar in foods.
Max ratio of 1.5 sugar to 1 g protein for me. Exception is apples, thick rolled oats, they seem to stabilize my blood sugar.

Cottage cheese and pineapple a good breakfast. Trader Joes has frozen pineapple and other fruits without added sugar.

LOve bread and all other carbs including an occasional drink so have to severely limit myself or i don't feel good.

REad "Protein Power" or "The Zone" for information on which foods are protein rich. Protein power is low carb. Zone is balancing carb, protein and fat at each meal. A zone bar for an on the go breakfast keeps me going for 3-4 hours. Also like Kashi Go Lean, a protein fortified breakfast cereal.

I suspect I'm hypoglycemic -- if I eat too much sugar, I get extremely drowsy.

Thank you for the heads up about 1.5 grams of sugar to 1 gram of protein ratio. I've never heard of it described like that before. My nutritionist put me on a high protein diet, and your meal plan sounds like what she suggested. But she never mentioned the protein to sugar balance.
