Anyone have Bad service at Whispering Canyon???

We ate there on May 10 and had Deputy Doug as our server. There were eight of us total. He was fantastic. Very attentive, humorous, he played the part well. He was great with our kids. I didn't tell my father about the antics and he didn't have a fork at this place setting. He got the biggest fork ever!

We ate there in Sept. 06, just myself and DH and we were seated in the "quiet" part. Our server was Jamy. She did the napkin and straw bit, but not much more. She was also attentive but didn't play the part. Maybe it was because it was just the two of us.

We will try again!

We had great service there 2 weeks ago! Our server was Christ (gray hair, goes by "Right Neighborly". He even sang a beautiful anniversary song to my parents! Great time!

We had a great time there last time. It was a great atmosphere with good food and fast and friendly service. We will definately return!

We had mediocre, slow, inattentive service in July 06. My kids were so tired of waiting they did not want dessert--and we were on the DDP. Won't be going back.

We were there on 5/19 for lunch. We had 1 pm reservations, didn't get out until almost 3:30. The server was nice, but it wasn't the terrific experience our friends recommended. Also, my hamburger was awful, the burgers I had at Cosmic Ray's and Pecos Bill's were much better. Bleh. I wouldn't go back, myself. I liked the 50s Prime Time Cafe a million times more, and the service was more fun.

We have ADR's there Sept.19 at 5p.m. I will definetly request a server that is rowdy and to be seated in the main dining area. Thanks for the servers name, I will ask if any of them are working that day.:cheer2:

My advise...Make SURE you do NOT get "oopsie daisy"...not a good experience.

We ate at Whispering Canyon on May 8th and our server was Raging Bull. He was great!! It was our anniversary dinner and he went all out. Sorry your service wasn't a good experience. I wonder if she was new. :/
*Thinking back, our dinner did take a long time. We arrived about 10 minutes ahead of our 7pm seating and were seated within 25 minutes. It seemed fast to me, but looking at our receipt it's stamped 8:56pm.

 That had to be very funny!!!

Was there for lunch back in Feb, and although the food was great, service was horrible. It was just DH and myself, like I said it was lunch time, we were there for almost two hours, and our reservations were as soon as they opened. It took forever to get anything. I noticed tables sitting down about the same time, maybe right after us, and leaving before we got our food. I wanted to try their chocolate cake, but by the time our server finally got around to taking our dinner plates and checking on us again, I was ready to leave. It left a bad taste for me, probably one of the worst experiences I had in all of Disney. It didn't help it was our last day there either. Don't get me wrong, the place was a lot of fun, and I can see the appeal to small children, and the food was great, it was just a bad day for us. I will however proabbly return. I can't remember, but I believe our server went by Touts or Toutsie, or something like that.

We were there over spring break (4/4 - 4/11) for lunch and the service was the worst part of the meal! Our waitress seemed like she was overworked, with too many tables and not enough hands! A lunch that should have taken maybe an hour dragged out for more than 2.5 hrs.:confused3 !!!!
The absolute worst part was getting the check. We asked for the check right after ordering dessert, got it (no lie) a half hour later, which was the first time we saw our waitress since, and .... you guessed it, it was the wrong check:scared: ! Another 10 mins. and we finally got it right only to have to wait another 20 mins. to sign for it!
It'll be a few years before we forget that fiasco and return to WCC!

was there october 06 and had lazy susan and she was maybe the person you all had but the food was a disappointment so never goin back i hate bones on my chicken and it was all boned pieces of chicken yuck mickey's backyard in march 07 was much better check it out beer all you can drink but 2 dinings charged

Our group of 8 ate dinner there last week and it was, by far, our favorite meal. The kids had a blast, the food was really yummy, our waitress was great. We absolutely loved it!

We'll be having lunch at WCC in a couple of weeks.:woohoo: I hope lunch is as fun as dinner.pixiedust: It's great to hear that the food was good. This will be our first time eating there too.:wave2:

We always do lunch, rather than dinner, the food is excellent, the cost is less, and the service is wonderful! We enjoy our lunch meals and the entertainment more than dinner---we are usually very tired at dinner time, and let me tell ya, that place is loud, rowdy and you'll have a ball, but if you're tired, you won't enjoy it as much as you'll be thinking, at least we were, please find me a QUIET corner--and it ain't happening, not there! So enjoy your lunch, you'll have a BLAST!

We'll try it again, but we've been once with awful service. My parents also went back after the awful service, and managed to get another server who just didn't seem into it.

Our server actually commented that she didn't like to make a big scene. I wanted to say to her, BUT LADY, that's what I'm here for! I figured with two guys and gals who drink A LOT we would get big glasses, however, we were lucky to get a refill. My daughter was about one, and was making a mess and being a fright ... and not a word was said to her. My sister and her friend *8 and 6* we thought they would do something with them, but nothing.

A bunch of other servers were having a great time ... but ours really seemed like she wanted to be somewhere, anywhere, else.

I am looking forward to trying again ... but it won't be for a little while, there are just so many other places I want to check out first.

That does not sound too bad (if you were seated around 7:15-7:25)...I found 1 1/2 hours to be a typical time to allow for a TS meal...however, we were there over 2 hours and did not even eat dessert...We spent the last 20-25 minutes trying to order dessert in to-go boxes and get our ticket....I found my receipt and it was stamped 2 hours and 22 minutes after we sat down!!

Again...I REALLY enjoyed the food and by reading everyone else's comments, it sounds as though this place simply has a few waiters/waitresses that are just not very organized and/or not cut-out to be waiters/waitresses (disorganized). I will make note of the names that have been reported here and make a request next time. Thanks to everyone who gave their report...good and bad...it has helped me determine to give WCC another try....just what I was hoping for!!
