Anyone have any luck with Savi's?

I know it's a long shot but we just booked a couple of weeks ago for Christmas. My husband is battling Multiple Myeloma and we are trying to create all of the memories we can for our 9 year old. They are both Star Wars fanatics and I was able to get a Droid Depot reservation but it looks like everything at Savi's is booked for December. Has anyone had any luck getting in by just checking constantly? We are there Dec 21-25 so I know it will be busy. Just wondering if there is even a chance! Thanks!

IMO there's always a chance, you just have to commit to checking the page regularly.

There's always I chance. I'm there the first week of December. I didn't think I'd want to build a droid on this visit (figured I'd have time on another trip) but I lost to FOMO. By the time I decided to reserve, there were no slots for Droid Depot left for the week I would be there. But I checked constantly every day and two morning slots were available and I snagged them for my dad and I. I know it's not Savi's but you just have to keep trying.

I know "Never give up, never surrender" isn't a line from Disney character, but the quote is from a Tim Allen character and seems appropriate here. Just don't put too much pressure on yourself to check because that's just more stress than what's necessary for a vacation.

In just the last week I have been able to adjust times for Oga’s and add a reservation for Droid Depot for our vacation coming up the end of October. The availability appears to be ever changing so keep trying!

Keep trying. You might have more luck if you check in the mornings and later in the evenings.

We recently booked a trip for Dec. 8-16 (also a family dealing with a very long rough year and likely a hard 2020 ahead of us). With the trip being booked after the reservations system had opened and in the first week after RotR is supposed to open, I didn’t expect to get anything booked. But within three weeks of checking about three times a day I do have Savi, Droid Depot and Oga’s booked. DD and Ogas on our last day and Savis on our first.

In the period I was regularly checking, I definitely saw openings for the times you’re going to be there. Especially Dec 25. I was surprised to see that one multiple times. Keep checking!

I’ll keep my eyes open for you too. As I’m still checking (though less regularly) on the hope we might be able to get a Oga breakfast slot and Savis on the same day. So I’ll watch and DM you.

For Oga’s try setting up an alert on Mouse Dining, it’s free.

And, when I was worried, people told me part of what’s happening is that since the reservation guarantee entry into SWGE and the busy factor is unknown after RotR opens is unknown, some people might just be hoarding the reservations to guarantee they get into the land but will release them closer to the time. So don’t lose hope.

People are also reporting g that DD and Savis are taking walk ups during EM right now and it sounds like some people are even having some luck with that during the day. So do t give up.

I just made a res for Savi for mid November and there were a lot of times available.

If you cannot get a reservation, I would suggest going to Savi's at park open and quietly explaining the situation to a cast member. maybe they can make some magic.

While I was there, I asked a CM about this very subject and he did tell me along with 2 other CM's that they do hold "several" openings for walking ups, did not tell me how many several meant but it is well worth a trip to ask as soon as you get to GE.....good luck as this is such a cool experience!

In general for WDW I have found things open up 1 to 2 days in advance because people cancel right before the 24 hours mark. We did a last minute trip once and were able to get ADRs at all of the tough to get places by checking a lot the day before (I did it in the evening before bed and morning while drinking coffee and the rest of the family was still sleeping- not while in the park so it didn’t interfere with the fun) good luck! I know that I am considering dropping our Savi’s reservations for Xmas week for my kids because it is expensive and I don’t want to fly back with them- our days don’t overlap though so it won’t help you.

Thanks everyone. I keep checking but no luck so far. I was able to get into Oga's. Fingers crossed and a little Pixie dust would be beautiful!! I need to reset the alerts on this! I'm not getting them!!

Just got a res for 10/9 this past Friday. Have been trying for a month. 11:30 opened and since i have a res at Savi’s at 12:30. I jumped on it. I hope it works out.
