Anyone have any experience with Orthaheel - Kinetic sandals?

I have the kinetic, wave and a clog I don't remember the name of.

Had full ankle reconstruction including work on the arch. These shoes are the only ones I can wear and walk for any lenght of time. Even Merrel's and Clark's don't work for me.

I live in them. Most of the time I can't even walk barefoot to the bathroom from bed so on go the wave flipflops rather than slippers.

Buy them, you won't regret it.

I was at WDW Sept 10th-18th. I took my Orthoheel Tides, OluKai Ohanas, Volatile Keralee's, and Skecher Tone Ups. I round up wearing the OluKai's the most. The other three were OK, but nothing comes close to the OluKai Ohanas for all day comfort.

I'm going to have to order me some more though. My daughter in law went shopping in my shoe closet the day after I got back (which she does periodically) and borrowed a pair of my OluKai Ohanas to wear on their vacation. She informed me last night that she was bringing the rest of my shoes home this weekend (including the Orthoheel Waves), but I wasn't getting my OluKai's back. lol

I got a pair a few weeks ago, Orthaheel Tide. I have extremely flat feet and wearing regular flip flops just isn't an option. They are awesome! I'm not sure I will wear them for hours on end in the parks, but they are great! They give me the support in the arch that I needed. I got mine on zappos.com :surfweb: they were about $60 with free shipping. I got the black, I am contemplating another pair in brown.

I have had these exact flips for well over a year now - and I love them. I do have others (New Zealand and Chacos - both with high arches and good support) but the Orthoheels are my favorite because I can get them wet and they dry quite quickly. I wear them to our local theme park all the time for all day trips, and I don't have any problems.

I"ve found them the cheapest here:

I've ordered from them twice - the first pair I had to send back because of the size being wrong - they were super nice and didn't question at all. I have a pretty lengthly review on this site, as well.

I have looked at the OluKai Ohanas, and I will probably get a pair for our upcoming trip - just to have a back up. I have heard great things about these flips, as well.

My main reason for buying all of these, is that I am a flipflop girl - I don't wear regular sandals. And finding flips with decent support (flat feet, over pronation, and plantar fascitis - which I had healed for almost 2 years and it's now coming back something fierce) is nearly impossible - there are only a few brands out there.

I did recently purchase a pair of Mizuno tennis shoes - because I thought the reason my PF was flaring up again was because of my work shoes being so old. And although I am still having PF problems with the Mizunos - there isn't instant pain when I put them on - so hopefully it will get better with time. I do a lot of walking for excercise, and it's really so frustrating to have so much pain everytime I stand up. I might have to look into Merrills too... do all of them have good support or only certain ones?

D~
