Please share? We are trying to decide whether to do the Atlantis shore excursion or the excursion to Blue Lagoon! :flower: It will be me, dh and ds (8)! Would love some input! :Pinkbounc

I think that it is amazing that no one has pics of Blue Lagoon! Everyone says how great it is...but I have yet to see 1 picture of this island!

Does it really exist? :confused3

Sorry, we used only waterproof disposable cameras, so I don't have any digital pictures to attach.
We did the dolphin encounter with our sons that were 7 and turning 4. They absolutely loved it. It was much better than the dolphin encounter in Cozumel. I really couldn't recommend it more. If we go to Nassau again doing that excursion would be the only reason I'd get off the ship.

We went to Blue Lagoon in May 2003 as part of our 3-day cruise on the Carnival Fantasy (first cruise).

We had an awesome day. After we had our day there I imagined Castaway Cay to be a disneyfied blue lagoon (and it is).

If we were to go back to Nassua I would definitely do the Blue Lagoon excursion. Friends that we were on the cruise with us did the Atlantis Excursion. They saw the fish and then basically snuck onto the beach. I was very happy that we chose to do our own thing.

I uploaded these photos just for you guys because I was also starved for information when booking. I actually called to island to find out about lockers (which they don't have but I didn't feel we needed them anyway once we were there).

Thank you. Fantastic pictures are making me reconsider staying onboard that day!

So...the island IS real! :cheer2:
I'll have to book the dolphin encounter excursion!

The Blue Lagoon was BEAUTIFUL! :sunny: We did the dolphin swim in St. Maarten and in Nassau at the Blue Lagoon. Blue Lagoon won hands down. It was so pretty there. They had lockers when we were there in Feb. '05

The last time I went to the island it was sooooo cold that I had to wear sweat pants and couldn't swim because we were freezing. The temp was in the 60's, but that didn't ruin our experience there because the island was so beautiful.

When I was there (about 3 years ago) they were fixing the island up because of hurricane damage, does anyone know if they have completely finished renovating?

Hello we went to Nassau and had gotten there the night prior during our Sept 2004 cruise. So we got off the ship at about 4:00 pm and took a cab to Atlantis. We walked in and went through the shops and Casino. There were beautiful fountains and the Casino was nice. We then stumbled upon the aquarium. It was after aquarium hours I guess, and the aquarium was just open to walk through (I don't know if you usually have to pay for this??) So we took about 20 mins to walk through it. My DD4 1/2 loved it as did myself, DH and our best friends.

The beach: It was dark when we got there so we just kinda took some pics and went inside. Sorry I cant help with that quest.

It was great because we did the sting ray excursion at Blackbeard cay the next morning since we had the day and a half there. Which the sting ray excursion was incredible. We rented sea doos after on the beach and just had a blast that day.

With our experience it was awesome but we only needed about an hour there to be done. So it would be a great "extra" something to do if time permits.

I hope this helps.

Now here are some pics: :thewave:
