Anyone have an opinion of SANUK yoga sling flip flops for the parks? (and/or everyday life)

So I have been wearing Skechers walking shoes with yoga mat insoles for about a year and they are the perfect sneaker for me specifically because of the yoga mat. I'm always on the hunt for insoles that are cushioned without being memory foam that just flattens to the ground when you put weight on it.

So anyways I am considering purchasing a pair of Sanuk yoga sling flip flops because of the yoga mat insole and also due to the soft fabric between the toes and around the food and the fact that it has heel strap so they will be secure on my feet.

I'm curious to know your experiences with these shoes at the park.
Comfortable for all day wear?
Are they good shoes for when it rains or when you go on Splash Mountain and Kali as in do they dry easily?

I'm so excited to get a bunch of prints if I like how they feel because the prints are adorable!

I have them and cannot stand them. The part where your foot hits is soft but the bottoms are flat and hard and my feet cry after an hour in them.

My son has a pair of kid's flip flops from them and they are soft soft. Not hard on the bottom so it bends nicely as you step and I can go hours in them (he bought them just before his feet got bigger than mine).

I sent mine back after one day of trying them around the house.

The only comfortable sandal I can wear for extended periods of time is Birkenstock. Chaco flip flops are good too (they have arch support). They are my beach/pool shoes.

I like them, but I have not worn them around the parks. I wear sneakers especially for day time touring, we go in the summer.
I do like them for everyday wear, I actually find mine quite comfortable, but again, no experience wearing them in the park. Sorry ;)

I had to Google it because I don't know what they are. Being a guy, they're clearly not something I'd wear...at least not in public. :ssst:

Most of our trips are in the summer. Because it's so hot, I flat refuse to wear sneakers. Just can't do it. Too hot, too sweaty, too stinky. I have a comfortable pair of sandals, don't really know the brand. They have two straps that go over the top of the foot, and one across the back of the heel. That keeps it in place like a sneaker. I have to put lotion on my feet, otherwise my heel will get cracked, but beyond that I'm very happy with them. They're also great because when we ride things like Kali it's no big deal if my feet get soaked.

I have a pair that I have worn at the parks and I think they are comfy, but I would not wear them in the rain. They get kinda slippery when wet. We just bought our daughter a pair to wear when we are there this week. Hoping she likes them :)

I seem to be different from the rest of the responders. I love them! I agree that they get a bit slippery when they are wet. I think they are super comfortable. I have worn them to the park before and they are ok as any sandal would be. I usually wear my running brooks because we go from rope drop to emh as well as park hop and usually do well over 30k steps per day. This upcoming trip is going to be different since we are taking our baby and our days are not going to be as long so I will probably be wearing them this time

I LOVE them. But not at the parks. They killed my feet on our last trip.

I wear Sanuk regular flip flops, though, at the parks. Especially if it rains. I hate wet sneakers.

They may not be the cutest, but I love my Sketchers for walking.

I wore mine everyday while on our WDW holiday in September (2016), walked 10+ hours a day, super comfy, no issues, no pain. When we go back in November (2017), I am going back to trainers, I prefer my feet to be fully covered in the parks. I will keep my Sanuks for the quick runs from hotel room to the lobby/restaurant area.
I hope this was helpful::MickeyMo

I also have Skechers with the yoga mat, and wear them frequently. I do not have the yoga slings, but I have Sanuk flip flops with the same yoga mat sole. To me, they are amazing! In general, I wear my athletic shoes almost every day because I do have some minor orthotic issues (It makes me feel really old to say that!). But, during the summer, I wear my Sanuks as much as possible. My first pair were a silver color and I have worn them out. When I went to purchase another pair, I found they no longer offer that color. I seriously almost cried! And, I swore that if I ever find a pair of shoes that I love that much, I'm going to buy at least another pair to save back!

Anyhow, I wore mine to the parks over several days and my feet were very happy. The soles can get slippery and squishy if they get wet.

Sanuk shoes have different sole types, and I was most happy with the same sole the yoga sling seems to have. I bought a different pair with a different sole, and they were not nearly as park friendly. In fact, I had to change half-way through the day.

The thing with shoes is that what works for one person, what feels amazing to someone, might be the definition of misery to you! So, I encourage you to order a pair - maybe from Zappos so you can return for free - and try them out!

Sandals of any kind kill my feet in the parks. I 'have' to wear athletic/sneakers shoes with socks - really don't even notice the extra heat. My feet are happy at the end of a very long day and that is all that matters to me - great support too.

Have never worn the Sanuk slings, but that sole looks very uncomfortable to me for a walking shoe. Also, know my foot would 'slide' with 'any' flip flop after a while of walking in the heat. But, I understand everyone has their comfort level in a shoe.

I wore only sanuk yoga mat flip flops for years, having a pair in every color. I loved them and wore them at Disney and in everyday life.

Then my feet started to hurt whenever I would wear them. I finally figured out that there is no arch support in them and had to stop wearing them.

I switched to fit flops because they have great arch support. My feet haven't hurt since and I can wear them all day in the parks.

I have a pair, they are not as comfy as I would have thought (I only wear flip flops/sandals on vacation) and they were so,slippery when they got wet, the bottom of my feet were sliding all over

This is me as well!

I can do Tevas in the parks as well but not Sanuk

I love them for real life. I can't do a full park day in them. I tend to get raw on the ball of my foot. It isn't a blister but it is very red and hurts. I can do a few hours max at the parks in them.

I have a pair and they are super comfy for a few hours, but a full day in the parks and my feet start to hurt. I usually bring them and have them as an option to switch between my Sketcher Go Walks and Teva Sandals and I wear them when I know I'll be off my feet again in 3 or 4 hours.

I can only wear mine for a few hours before I feel like I have to peel them off my feet. I live in Keens during the summer. Much better on my feet.

I LOVE Sanuks. I wear them everyday in the spring/summer, and often in the fall...and winter. Ha! I have many different styles including Yoga Slings. I was in DW last week and wore them 4 out of 5 days, and my departure day (my Sidewalk Surfers and Pair O Dice Flats). My 7 year old wore her Sidewalk Surfers every day, my son wore his 1 or 2 days. However, I did not wear my slings nor would I have attempted. In my opinion, they aren't comfortable enough for all day Disney wear.

The only comfortable sandal I can wear for extended periods of time is Birkenstock.

I have to absolutely agree with this. Birkenstocks are the ONLY sandal I can wear in parks. I've done it at least 3 times now.
This past time I wore EasySpirit sandals and wore holes in my heels AND the shoes. Definitely recommend Birkenstocks.

I'm a guy and I've worn Sanuk's fraid flip-flops to the parks several times and love 'em (also wear them regularly during the warmer months). Once you get past the initial break in period they're very comfortable. Gotta watch out for rides like Hogwart's Castle though where your feet fly out and about. :)
