I love disney world, and i am about to go work there. I have also just started weight watchers and was wondering if anyone knew how (if its possible) to be at disney and:
a) attend meetings
b) manage your weight

or anything that would help. Thanks

i've lost 116 pounds on ww:cool1: , and in my opinion, you are on vacation! take that week off and eat  . don't worry about points. you will be walking so much that you probably won't gain any weight anyway.

I have lost 45 pounds on WW (so far) and I think you can follow it anywhere because it truly is a lifestyle change. I have no idea how close meetings are, but you can join online. If you need the support and accountability of meetings (I do), check the WW web site or call 800 number for meetings in area.

I am so jealous you are starting work at WDW! What are you going to be doing?

Another WW here! Lost over 75lbs and am Lifetime  I actually looked up meetings for my last trip, but didn't make any. Many in Orlando and some closer to the "World" if I remember right. I did meetings, but would doing it online help you? I really like the message boards there and they are free. Good luck in your new job!

i just realized you said WORK there, and not taking a trip. i assume it would be like any other job as far as lunch breaks....pack something if you need to! i don't know if i could stand all those wonderful smells of food through the parks though:love:

I am also on WW and love it lost 20 lbs so far. But you should try WW online so your can do it anywhere.

You may want to invest in a nice lunch tote of some sort, with ways to keep stuff cool.I found the best way to stay on plan with lunch or dinner while working was to pack the meal at home. You can eat at restaurants sometimes but I would think every day would make it hard.

Most of the cafeterias at the parks have a subway so if you must buy food you can always so one of the 6 subs for 6 grams of fat or less. The cafeteria at Animal Kingdom is WONDERFUL!!!! No subway but such a great selection of things to eat. Most places also sell fruit, snackwells, etc. It's just like living anywhere. I am born and raised in Orlando and while I am not on WW, I am sure you can find meetings and other things in town. We are not just Disney! :)
I also agree with the suggestion to bring your lunch a lot to save money and keep your self on track. I am sure you will be just fine. And since you get in the parks for free now, you can do like me and use the World Showcase as your own personal treadmill! Just be careful not to get sidetracked by the yummy snacks along the way! ;)
Good luck!
