Believe me, I know. I had two longtime friends dump me, one was my dd's godmother and we were friends for 20 years. I don't think her new DH liked our family, although I have no clue why except he likes to keep to himself. I also think it was a jealousy issue, she used to have more than me and then her financial circumstances changed. But I learned to move on -- so hugs to you.

I'm still learning about friends and friendships for sure. Still, I think in the end it is worth the risk of being hurt.
