Anyone have a receipt for a Disney Mug?

I sent my Secret Santa a Disney Mug and USPS broke it. I insured it, but I've lost the receipt. Apparently for reimbursement, the postal service needs a receipt.

Just thought I'd throw it out there. The mug was about $9.00, as I recall. I may have to just suck it up, but grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

AWWW! wouldn't you know it I just threw out our receipts from our trip this past spring a few weeks ago. Was cleaning out my junk draw and came across them. Sure hope someone else can help.

That's absurd. Why should you have to have the receipt? I would understand you having to prove the cost of the item, but you shouldn't have to come up with a receipt. If you paid for the insurance, you should be covered for the full replacement value of the item.

I can prove the cost, no problem....but they are stating they need a receipt. I usually keep my receipts for Christmas stuff too. FRUSTRATING!

How about they just give me the postage and insurance money back. Nope, won't do that either.

Well, if you do get your money back and you buy another mug are they going to ship it insured for free? Man, what a hassle. I'm usually a big fan of the post office, but this sounds pretty crappy.
