I am thinking of buying a Nook before our upcoming cruise. The B&N website says it is wireless with AT&T. What if you don't have AT&T? How would I download a book then? The website also says you can surf the web and check email via the NOOK. Our home has wireless internet. Our internet provider is our cable company. Will I be able to use my Nook for checking my email this way?
Sorry, I am not tech savy but I really like the idea of a Nook. It also says you can get ebooks from your library. Is this easy to do?
I would love any input before I had to the bookstore tomorrow. Thanks!

You can also buy them on B&N and then download them to your Nook, easy peasy. I've done it both ways and when I noticed I was having a problem (that many other Nook owners were having) I took it to the store and while there it just randomly downloaded some new book....LOL I didn't even have it in my hands when it did it, the manager was checking it with their tech support in the back and it had a new book when we got it home. I haven't tried to do much with the web part of it, the browser is very basic and I prefer the laptop or desktop to the Nook for internet.
