I have the Fugifilm finepix s1500. If you have this camera or at least a fugifilm finepix and take good pictures at Disney then please let me know what settings to use. All my pictures are too dark, too light, fuzzy, or blurred. I'm tired of taking bad pictures. I feel like I spend more time playing around with the settings on my camera trying to find what works best than I do actually watching the parade, fireworks, etc.

Based on what you said, it sounds like low light is your main problem area. The camera just might not be capable of what you are wanting it to do. For challenging light, a DSLR is pretty much a requirement.

I have a Fujifilm Finepix s5700 and take the camera to Disneyland every year, as I don't feel like hauling my Nikon out. I usually just do the auto setting, and turn off the flash for certain rides/situations. I've never had a problem with any blurry pictures (except during the parade).

I've got a few Fuji point and shoots around here. Some are better than others. My daughters S1000 can hold it's own against my old Rebel XT with an 18-55 kit lens when it comes to low light... the Fuji is a tiny bit noiser, but it can get the shots. My husband actually got some really good shots with it on our recent trip. He's been a little obsessed with the panorama mode.

The single best thing you can do to improve your photos is to learn the basics of how an exposure is made. You know that and you'll know what modes to use when.
