Droids are usually a little more work then Iphones. Iphone works right out of the box because you can't customize to your liking. So if your into moding your device then the Droid is awesome. If you don't like the stock messenger you can get a different one. If you don't like the keyboard you can get a different one. Love Android devices and wouldn't even think of jumping ship in the near future. With how many are selling nowadays the apps should most def be coming real soon. Just got Angry Birds and that is a fun game I must admit.
Not to mention a silly Apple vs An awesome Android mascot?
Agreed.I have a Droid Incredible and to me is far superior to the iPhone. Verizon has the best coverage, and with Droid you can customize your home screen (even have more than one) to switch back and forth from. No useles icons on your front screen - add and discard as you want. They can keep their iPhone - I'll take the Droid any day.
You mean like this...

No? Then "these are not the droids you're looking for."![]()
Got my Droid x a few days before going to WDW last month. I like the slide out keyboard as an option, I was nervous I would not enjoy touch screen. Actually, I did get the hang of it, but sometimes I have my nails done with a silk wrap, or they grow long enough that touching the screen becomes an issue.
There are lots of apps. One with wait time at WDW that was useful. I am thrilled by all the internet features. I had a Motorola Q previously, and it was a pain to get on the internet. This is super quick!
PS, I am a Baby Boomer, and even I got up to speed in a few days. You can teach an old dog new tricks! Deb![]()
I've had my Droid X since July and can't figure out how to turn my ringer ON.
Haven't had time to go to the Verizon store, may need to call them. It does make a sound with an email, alarm, or text message, but not with an incoming call.
Yes, I've played around with everything in Settings, but cannot get it to work! Aarrgghh!
Yes, I used a non smart phone for many years prior, my first smart phone type device.
It is nice to have the different applications, but I do kind of miss the simplicity of my old LG EnV.
sounds simple, but have you tried turning the volume button up on the right side, while the phone is not in a call or anything? The e-mail and ringer sounds are on separate volumes, maybe its just down?
Yes, it is all the way up, and not on vibrate.
Weird, huh?
