Anyone have a discount code to join AAA?

We are looking into joining AAA to get room discounts for our trip in Feb. Anyone have a discount code to get the membership cheaper?

I have never seen a code, but usually around christmas time we get a letter offering a discounted rate.

I was looking at AAA.com today and noticed that if you join online, they are waiving the $10.00 sign up fee. I'm not sure how long they will be doing this.

Mine had a Spring discount that was pretty good, but it ended I think on 6/30. However, the did offer gift memberships that were a savings off. So I had my dh buy me a gift membership.

I really want to join, but would love to get that $44 charge for basic down a little. Or at least get a free memebership for my husband.

I work for AAA. Normally, we don't have discounts. Not even employees get a discount the memberships. $44 for a year really isn't bad though. Here it's 10 dollars more.

We just got our AAA bill $140.00 a year for the plus plan (we upgraded once because my car needed to be towed 75 miles and they had a 2 mile limit or something like that. With my Ford van I have free road side service, so I don't know if we really even need it now. The package price they quoted for Disney was $300-800.00 more than the quotes I got thru other TA recommended on this board. WDW Travel was the lowest. I doubt we will use it except for the room only ressies from now on.

Where are you seeing the $44 rate? When I checked into it I got a membership rate of $71 for a single basic membership. I live in PA. Does where you live make a difference?

I'm in South Jersey, and the online price for a basic 1 person membership is $44. That's what I saw online.

I just joined today and they waived the $10 enrollment fee, and I was able to add my husband for free. Total cost $42. Normally it is $66 a year here in NC for two people. Plus my membership is good for 14 months before I have to renew since I used my credit card to sign up.

I just rejoined after not being a member for almost a year. I was offered no registeration fee and one extra family member for the first year. Also an extra month. I asked to upgrade to plus membership. Total cost $89 first year.

I do not think I have ever been able to get a WDW discount. That could be because of the time of the year that went, Memorial weekend or the week after. I only get reservations for the weekend at Fort Wilderness.

I purchase AAA for the road service. We have used it before and it was well worth the membership. Know that my DD is at college it is comforting to know that if she has car trouble she can make one phone call and get help.

The one thing I do not care for is that the AAA office closed that was nearest to my home. The closest one is 1oo miles away now.

The Trippiks (maps) are nice to have. They will also send you regular maps to whereever you go.

I just got an offer is the mail. $56 for me and DH for the plus plan. It's usually about $54 for just 1 person for plus plan. I got an extra month too.
