As of know, there is "no" code out for swa, they did have their $79 each way last week, but by noon, it seemed like there was nothing left, then the next or two swa changed your fare $79-$138. im hoping that it will change tomorrow(tues) it seems like on tuesdays swa has a sale from the email i get from swa on tuesdays. i remember when swa released their april 2 flights, they didnt offer alot of $79 fares and that was at the end of the week, the following tuesday they released a fare sale, so will see tomorrow
Didn't someone on the boards say something about SWA making changes or something happening on Dec 16th/tomorrow? I don't think there were any specifics just a vibe from talking to one of the reps from SWA. Someone reading this could probably clarify it.
I have heard rumors that Southwest is giving up the A B C seating cards and starting on line boarding passes and if used you get a half credit. Thought it was starting in 2004.

They no longer use cards, they now give out boarding passes with A B C on them. There was a rumor going around that they were going to start assigned seating, but, that is an old rumor and that is not going to happen.
One of the major newpapers out of NY reporting on their success, also reported they were going to go to assigned seats. When I called for something last week, I asked if that had happened yet, and the gal said not yet, so I took that to mean it was on it's way. No, huh?
There was a discussion on this a month or so ago, it is a no go according to a rebuttal by SWA.
I wish the search function was working, then I could direct you to the article.
