Anyone have a Bose entertainment system?

We have a Bose entertainment, speaker surround sound system we got put in our basement earlier this year. Well, last night, DH went downstairs for something, then came up and asked me if I had been down there. I said no. He said are you sure. I said, yeah, pretty sure. Anyway, the sound was on, but the tv wasn't on. Then it happened again this morning. At first, last night, we thought someone was in the house and wanted to listen to the tv. Anyway, I read the manual, and it said it could be interfering with another system. Now, our next door neighbors recently finished their basement as well, and I *think* they got a Bose system too. Could they really be turning on our system?? I changed this house code that makes it only work with your own remote, so we'll see, but that seems a little freaky to me that it would work thru concrete walls. Has anyone ever heard of this?

We had/have one and it never did this. Although now it doesn't turn on at all and of course we can't just buy the receiver but have to get a whole new system or figure some way to redo the speaker modules.
