In our ongoing tradition of giving away pins to special people in our lives, Rachel is now looking for a pin she can give TO a girl who has been staying with her in the morning while I take the other kids to their little camp programs. (Since Rachel usually needs extra rest, I really didn't want to wake her and drag her into the car everyday.) This babysitter, who was found through the caring committee at our synagogue, has been a lifesaver. She comes in the morning at 8:45 and stays until 10:00. Now, how many babysitterS would drive all the way to the other end of town (we're in the boonies!) to do that for someone!! Yes, we pay her, but just for her to be willing to wake up early (not an easy thing for a teenager) and Come over for such a short time is really nice.
Today she gave Rachel a pressed quarter with an angel on it that said "hope". It was very sweet. Rachel, of course, has showed her all of our Disney pins when she gets up in time to see her!! So, now I am looking for some kind of 2002 graduation pin to give this girl, who just graduated high school and is going off to Brandeis in the fall to study Biology (she wants to be a doctor).
Please take a look at my pinpics and see if there is anything I have for trade that would be of interest. It would be nice if the pin said 2002, but I guess that isn't a necessity. I guess if they made a Minnie doctor pin that wouldn't be bad either....but I don't think they do...do they?
