Anyone hassled for using expired FASTPASS?

If people would not share every single detail of what they do while at Disney, alot of these problems would not arise.

A few people being allowed to do this, is not going to ruin the intent of the system.

A few people being allowed to do this and then telling thousands on an Internet forum they were allowed to do it and in turn influence hundreds to try it, will ruin the system.

:scratchin very true::yes::

Okay people let's keep this civil. :D This seems to be another Where is the Disney Official Rule? thing ...OY!

We ALL are NOT going to have exactly the same expriences at WDW...I mean imagine how dull that would be?!?! :sad2:

What it seems to boil down to with an expired FP is what sort of CM happens to be running the FP lane at that time.It doesn't hurt to ask if you can use your pass.If you get to ride well great,if not at least you know you tried.:)

I highly recommend that when you do have a problem with a CM like bridgettesmom and hyzdufan had DO stop at Guest Relations and let them know what happened. Also PLEASE do this if you've had a CM that was outstanding too! :earsboy: Good service should be reported as well as bad...I mean think about how good you feel when someone says something nice to/ about you! :earsboy:

Personally I think things like this with CMs at WDW is coming down to Disney cut backs and their lack of training before "going on stage". I know "Traditions",the classes all employees at WDW have to attend, has been shaved down a few days.I think the CMs aren't "clear" on what's what at WDW!!

On our most recent trip to WDW we were told by a CM that we DO NOT have to return in the window given on the ticket (cant go earlier than first time tho). After being told that we just used the fast passes whenever we wanted and were never questioned. We even used one from a previous day! Never occured to us we were bending the rules as all the CMs seeemed prefectly fine with it!::yes::

All I can say is that maybe a CM will let you in with an expired fast pass, but regardless of what they may have told you they don't have to. The passes clearly state a beginning and ending time. You won't have a leg to stand on if you are late.

not true. they are valid any time after the posted start time.

I can see using them at anytime during the day (they do this at DL too), but using them the next day has to throw a kink into the system. If a certain number of FPs are given out daily, then using them on the wrong day would have to change the numbers in lie. If I were a CM working the line, I don't think I would notice the date though, only the time.

I just want to reiterate that WE HAVE BEEN TOLD BY CM (Exact Words!) 'THE END TIME ON THE FASTPASS IS A SUGGESTION'

I would NEVER have even tried to use an "expired" fastpass because I would have been mortified to be turned away with my children standing there! Just as I NEVER try to get through the FP line PRIOR to the listed time!

If you want to say that the time is definite - fine - have you been told that specifically or do you assume that? Well, I have been told specifically that the end time is a suggestion!

Well, then why in the world are we on this board????

Do you not read the experiences that others have had and base some parts of your experience on what you read?

if it where just a suggestion then why have i seen people turned away for coming after the listed time
i hope you don't get mortified like you stated above but....
taken from helpful hints that they send you with your confirmation----
They'll give you a FASTPASS ride time,so you can go and enjoy more of the park. Then, come back during the DESIGNATED TIME FRAME and hop right on with little or no additional wait.---- so i guess if you went after the designated time it would be considered expired-- the word designated has never been confused with the word suggestion---anyway im not trying to start a fight but common sense would tell you the time frame is not just a suggestion- it all goes back to what a cm told you --what a cm told me-- i have been told by many cm's that if a smoking room isn't available when i check in to go ahead and smoke in a non smoking room anyway, they have even sent an ash tray for my mom but did my mom smoke in the non smoking room because a cm told her it was ok---definitely not--- what is so hard to understand that if everyone took the designated times as a suggestion there would be no need or use for fastpass. say eveyone who got a fastpass for peter pan in the morning didn't go during their window but all showed up between 4-5 along with the people who came at the right time---how could it work????? guess what it wouldn't.

we've had to leave the park before a FP timeslot (someone got sick or the ride was down and didn't come back up before we left)...
we stopped at guest relations on the way out and they gave us a replacement for a particular day that we were comign back...
we've never had a problem...

My advice is to keep your expired fast passes for the day with you. If you happen to pass by the attraction, see what the CM says. It doesn't hurt to ask.:D

In March we were told that we cold not use FP before the time but they were good for any time after.
