Anyone had problems sitting together on Allegiant?

I booked our family airfare on Allegiant because I was to scared to wait for SW. After going through most of the booking process it came to a screen where it said I could pay another $11 each way to pick my seats. I didnt know they did this. I just paid $156 round trip per ticket (for 7) and didnt want to add another $154 just to pick our seats. Has anyone had a problem sitting with their family if you didnt pay for seat assignments? They said it is first come first seated for the ones who dont assign. Allegiant also said that those traveling with children shouldnt have a problem. I am not as concerned about our outgoing flight out of Roanoke, VA on 12/16 as I am the return flight on 12/23 from Sanford to Roanoke. Thanks for any information on this or any of Allegiants boarding procedures, etc.

I've flown Allegiant several times, sometimes my mom & I having a seperate reservation from my dad, and we've had no problems sitting together.

Thanks for the quick reply. How early do you think we should get there to get in line? Is is like SW where you just get in a line and wait? That seems to be what the agent implied. Anyone else have any seating experience?

We are usually some of the first people on line. Once at Sanford we were maybe 20 parties in, but we still got seats together.
