Anyone got a Square yet?

I know some people on here have posted about credit card processing and wanted to see if anyone else has got a Square for their phone yet?

Good! I haven't compared rates or anything like that, DH's company uses PayPal quite a lot right now. He just really liked the idea and it was free, so he got one. We've processed one payment, for $1, from me. He made me.

From what I understand, there is still a per transaction fee. In fact, what I read indicated that the fee was higher than the fee you pay for a regular credit card machine.

It wouldn't surprise me. The purpose of the square is to take payments on the run. Businesses that will get the most use out of it are businesses that can't lug around a machine that has to be plugged into a phone or internet line.
