What did you pay for your flights?

We may have to move our wedding. :sad1: :sad2: :sad1:

And dates are driving me mental. One of my bridemaids will be doing her GCSE's next year so obviously we can't have it during the exam period.

So i was thinking maybe early July?

Virgin prices now for July are about £700, is this typical or have these risen since they were released do you know?

I really really don't want to have to delay the wedding by 6 months into Sept/Oct but sadly it's looking likely. :(

My cousin is getting married in july out there and is finding it hard to get reasonable prices so a few people have pulled out but that's traveling from dublin I was suppose to go and my family but it not looking likely with the prices im getting but its still early and the could drop in price....

update: Just seen its next year she booked her own tickets about 2 months ago with virgin and got them for €550 so maybe its better to book early

I have booked ,although we are flying from dublin Via manchester on the 7th July but returning from LA to Dublin via Heathrow when i booked prices where £520 each, was happy enough with that price so i booked it.

I know you would prefer July but everything is against it, flight & hotel prices, crowds, and weather. Sept/Oct is a far better time of year IMO.

Thanks Wayne, yeah the weather was a worry beore we realised the prices were higher.

We are going to take the hit of the spring break crowds, and change to the last week of March. It is US School holidays in a lot of places, but Easter isn't until a month after so it could go either way for us.

And end of March/Start of April weather certainly looks a lot more appealing!

we are going after our daughter finishes her GCSEs this year in July because we did not want to go in our school holidays but it will be USA school holidays so very crowded. I also wanted to avoid Independance day so we are off on 9th July (away for the World Cup Final). I was surprised that the flight prices we expensive but it is Scottish and Irish school holidays so that could be the reason.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with the wedding date

Oophs! World Cup didn't think about that when I booked up for June. When does that start and finish?

Sorry to hear you are having problems with the wedding date
Thanks Claire.

We've moved it to the 29th March now.

The Florida school holidays are March 21-25 and we arrive on the 24th so it'll be a bit busy for those two days. But hopefully should get quieter throughout the two weeks we're there. And then we fly home on the last day of UK School term before Easter break.

So although WDW will be pretty busy we are luckily able to jsut avoid most holidays. And the flight prices were the real PITA.
