I know that the DIS is planning to join in the MouseFest festivities this year with a "big" announcement coming on Wednesday's DIS Unplugged Podcast.

Our trip is from 12/10 to 12/19. I love meeting my fellow DIS'ers. My MIL and I will both be on scooters.

Is there anyone here, that usually goes on wheels, that will be at WDW for MouseFest?

I usually go to several of the activities and always the MegaMouseMeet.

Skye ( my service dog) and I are going to some of the activities. I've never been before but signed up this year and am really looking forward to it. See you there!---Kathy

My dates are 12/11 to 12/17. I'll be going solo for the first time and doing mousefest for the first time. Thanks for posting this thread.

I think it would be great to join up with one another at least a few times. We can form our own convoy.

Is anyone game to try some activities together? If so, we should do some planning ahead of time. Some at mousefest form their own gatherings to meet like doing meals and such. The easiest is to do a counter service at a certain time. Some meet up at the resorts, too. There's a separate thread for mousefest meetings on the DIS. These are gatherings above and beyond what mousefest offers.

I'm able to go without a scooter for a little while; so, I think I may ditch it here and there. For the megameet, I think I'll try to manage without one. Your more or less stationary for the meet. When it comes to doing MVMCP on 12/11, I know I'll be one my scooter all the time.

Anyway, do we have any takers for getting together?

I would love to meet anyone and since my kids aren't attending ( they're young adults and aren't as much of a Disney fanatic as I am!) I'll be free to join anytime, any place. The more the merrier!---Kathy

"How about if we try to get a powerchair/ECV drag race on the schedule?"- Okay, better rev up my batteries! Cheshire...you would definitely win the "best looking ECV/powerchair" award!---Kathy

Now that I've seen the CheshireFigment mobile in person, I will wholeheartedly agree!:thumbsup2

I will also be at the Mega Mouse Meet...

PassPorter's Dinner by the Lagoon Meet and Eat Event - Come join your host, PassPorter Guide Deb (Eeyore Tattoo), and fellow MouseFesters for a casual dinner and dessert meet and eat event at Epcot on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 5:00 PM at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop, followed immediately thereafter by dessert at Boulangerie Patisserie. No reservations required for this counter service meet and eat event!

This is the first year we haven't gone to mousefest. Going on a Panama Canal cruise instead. :woohoo: We have always done the fireworks cruise and loved it. Have fun for us.

Oh this is so cool! I was hoping that some of you would like to work out some kind of a meet & greet or drag race. ;)

The details of the big DIS meet came out in today's The DIS Unplugged podcast. It's going to be on 12/13/08 from 9:30pm to 12:30pm at the DHS. They have rented out TSM for those 3 hours after the park has closed and the party, which includes some light desserts and a cash bar, will take place in the Pixar Place area. You have to already be inside the DHS park before closing time to attend the party. And you will be required to sign up in order to attend. People that have booked their stay with Dreams Unlimited with a stay including the night of 12/13 will have a chance to register to attend before everyone else.

It sounds like a lot of fun....it will be more of a hassle transportation-wise that night because there will be no Disney busses working after the park closes. Our plan for the day includes starting the day at Epcot and ending the day at MK. I was secretly hoping that they DIS had rented out the Adventurer's Club for the night, but it seems that I dream a bit too big. :upsidedow

Oh, btw, is anyone interested in making our meet and greet into a holiday on wheels decoration contest? I have no prize to offer other than braggin' rights. :rotfl2:

I already have plans in the works to deck the scooters out for the holidays. My MIL is afraid that we are going to have people thinking that we are totally nuts from the description that I have given her of what we are trying to put together to make her rental scooter more personalized and Disneyfied. I am sure that the CM's are going to remember us! :lmao:

Awww....aren't you sweet? :goodvibes

We will have a rental SUV, but the whole trip plan for us was made to minimize use of the SUV and maximize our use of the monorail, since it's a whole lot easier to load multiple ECV's onto one of those. :thumbsup2

Corey, who is usually sort of shy around new people, but is a charmer once you get her talking, actually surprised me when she said the DIS meet sounded like fun. :faint: Idk if it was TSM, the desserts or the cash bar that made the difference. :lmao: At any rate, I am pleased to know that if we can get on the list to attend that it won't be a major struggle to get her to climb out of her shell and out into the lovin' lime green world. ;)

Sounds like a blast, but honestly Corey and my MIL HATE fish and Corey actually has a severe seafood allergy, so that meet would not work for us, well, except for the dessert part, but we have to be careful with my MIL due to her diabetes and her insanely persuasive sweet tooth. :rolleyes1

I haven't really looked at the schedule of events so I'm way behind on all the planning everyone else has done. We just moved so I'm a bit overwhelmed but I'm now 5-10 minutes from any WDW entrance so getting to a meet won't be an issue. ( we moved to Hunter's Creek ). We have ressies for POR for part of the time. I'm not sure that we'll stay for the DHS meet as I can't ride TSM plus can't stay up that late after a full day of other fun. Can't wait to meet all of you!---Kathy

Dad and I live in the local area and always attend at least some of the Mousefest events. He uses an ECV, and we would love to do a meetup! Decorating contest, drag race, meal, MVMCP...we're up for anything, just let us know!

Lisa and Andy

Are any of you doing the Drinking Around the World meet on 12/12/08?

Did any of you make it into the TSM Meet on 12/13/08?

Are any of you going to MVMCP on 12/14/08?

Just curious. :grouphug:
