My family and I are going 11/26-12/2 and I called today to check on some reservations and was talked into the Mickeys Christmas party thing at MK. Has anyone been to this before?? We have two little ones so I'm hoping they enjoy the parade and snow!
This is our first time at WDW it will be myself,my husband, our son who is 2 1/2 and we are going for our daughters first birthday.
We can't wait. We are staying at the Poly and I'm hoping the mousekeeping is ok!!!

You were "talked into it"??? That's not a good thing! I was there once before & our entire party is going this year for their first time. It's a very late night -- 7 to midnight. Granted, you don't have to stay the entire time, but it's an expensive night for only an hour or two. There's lots to do & lots of people trying to do it too! I'm not trying to scare you away, but with 2 little ones under the age of 3, it might be a disappointing experience. Hopefully not. The parade, fireworks & shows are great!

were going to the first two parties this xmas season, hope theyre not too well attended :rotfl:

We're going on November 16th. OP, let your little ones take a late nap. They'll love the Christmas parade with the floats all lit. Santa is in the parade too. There are cookies and hot chocolate. When my daughter was 4, we went and my brother and his wife came with us and had their 2 year old twins. The kids loved everything. Now, my daughter is 13 and looking forward to her 2nd MVMCP.

I'll be at the very first one for this season - Nov 12th
night before my 50th birthday! At midnight everyone can sing Happy Birthday to me (lol)

My family is going on Dec. 13th. It will be my daughter and husband's first MVMCP. She will be 2.5 years old when we go. I hope they enjoy it!!

I'm happy for you...I think you will enjoy it....I've heard nothing but good...I'll be there on the first night it opens...Reminds me...I need to check on my tix!!

We are going for the first time 11/15. I can't wait. We'll have a group of about 40

Taking my kids (14 & 13) and my mom for the first time on 12/20. I'm so excited. I have never been to Disney at Christmas time. Any suggestions on what not to miss??

We're going 11/27, and it will be all of our (me, DH and DD{3}) first time! On the advice of many here, we are taking a big break in the middle of the day so as to be able to make it staying up late. We will do Studios in the morning, come back to the hotel for lunch and a nice long nap, then get to the MK in time for DD's 6:20 appt. at the castle BBB before the party starts!

Question, though - how does admission work? If we're already inside the park when regular hours end and the party begins, how do they ensure that the guests already inside the park are paid ticket holders?

We'll have 12 there on 11/16. This is the second year in a row we have gone. Well worth the extra $$.

we went last year had a good time and are going this year on the 13th dec:banana: :santa:

We'll be there Nov.15, group of 9.......never been before, can't wait.:santa:
We are checking in to BWV on 11/10 for our first trip home too! Small world. We have one night at SSR on 11/9 then we move over to BWV till 11/15 then we check into ASMU with the rest of our family.

This will be our 5th time to a Disney Christmas Party...our girls were one and almost three at their first "party"...we have gone every other year since - this year is our ON year and we can hardly wait...less than 3 weeks away now! Now that DD's are 9 and almost 11 we look forward to a later night in the Kingdom! We have been spoiled in that Grandma and Grandpa and empty strollers sat on the curb reserving our FRONT ROW seats for the parade right on Main Street so you can REALLY see it snowing (on the corner by Caseys) while we ran kids to age appopriate rides BEFORE the EARLY parade starts.....because the whole park is operating you can get on many rides repeatedly with little or no wait - last time we went the kids and the dad rode Thunder Mountain Railway 6 times in a row with out much waiting between rides - just the time it took to get off and run thru the line - mom handled that TWICE and sat out the rest! So lots of rides in BEFORE parade time. IF you want to take advantage of the "free" photo I would do that ASAP once you get into park - ESPECIALLY with little ones - before meltdown time! IF you have MK passes you CAN get into park earlier than the posted "party" time....you will be issued a special wrist band that must be worn to partake in the "party" activities...you will be asked to leave at park closing unless you can produce your MVMCP tickets at which time they will give you the wrist bands...you do not need to go out and come back in. If kids are a bit older do the 2nd parade.....it's a lot less crowded! Your really little kids may not remember the parades and snow and SPECIAL fireworks but you will remember their faces when they see it!!!!!!!!!! :santa:
