On May 14th? I will have my 3.5 yr old DS there and wondering if any of my fellow DISers will be there?

Thanks
Jason

I have our DS 4 signed up for the pirate cruise on the 8th! I am a little worried as this will be his first venture without us...but he is psyched for it and most of the things I have read about it have been very positive!

WE WILL!! WE WILL! I signed up my almost 5 year old son ---he is a first timer. I also know that Live2cdworld---another member will be there too!!!!!!!!!!! That is so great----now where do you find lime colored ribbons!!!!

I do not get the lime coloured ribbon thing - please explain

Thanks
Jason

People who hang out at these boards wear a lime colored ribbon when they go to Disney to recognize other people who are from DISboards.:D

My DD and DS are signed up for the 8th as well, we'll miss you by a few days. Have fun!!!

JaySue, we use lime colored ribbons to identify ourselves as DISers. So don't be shy, if you see someone with lime colored ribbon or whatever, just walk up and ask them if they are from the DIS.

I rarely see many lime green ribbons but I know there are lots of DISers there at the same time I'm there, I just haven't seen a lot of ribbons.

I've met lots of DISers though and it's a lot of fun.

My nephew loved the Pirate's Cruise.

Yep, we'll be there!

What is the pirate cruise? and what are the ages that kids can go?
Tracy

Hi Tracy,

It's a really neat trip for kids 3-10. It leaves from the Grand Floridian Marina. The kids are given bandanas and search different ports (resort stops) for treasure. I believe there are a few cast members that accompany the kids on their treasure hunt. The kids get lunch (pb&j, I think) and their goodies.

It's $24 for the kids and it lasts about 2 hours.

It can be booked 120 days out and you call wdw-dine to make the priority seating.

Thanks Lizzie-
Sorry to highjack your thread jaysue-

Is it geared more towards the 3 yrs or 10 yrs., or do they split them. It seems like most have younger ones going. My DD is 7 and My DS is 10 1/2. Will they be bored? Hummmm....what to do?? We will be there on the 14th.

I've read almost all the age groups going. I'm really surprised at how many little ones. I mean the 3's and 4's. I would be worried about separation anxiety, but I guess the kids are so excited, they don't care.

My son is 4.5 and has been in nursery school since he was 2.5, so he's ok when I'm not around. Actually doesn't even say goodbye.:( .

But, let me not jinx myself.

Well...so much for 5/14 anyway..its all booked up. I might try the 15, or 16. Thanks for you help though. Tracy

Just booked my DS (4 years old) on the May 12th cruise. This will be his first time alone as well. Should be interesting... The 5th and 8th cruises were sold out

Oh Lizzie.. there were quite a few little ones excited to go on the cruise till they realized Mom and Dad were not going too LOL...

There were quite a bit of tears and screeching but the CM's were great at trying to get them distracted and on the boat.

One little boy didn't go...he didn't want to be a Pirate (said whilst stamping his feet) I felt more sorry for Mom and Dad.

You can just never tell! lol
