Anyone Going Oct 15- 22??

We will be there Oct 15-23rd!

I can't wait! I finished all the laundry today!

We'll be celebrating younger DD's 13th birthday at MK on the 16th, and our 18th anniversary at Epcot on the 23rd. We have a late flight; we've never gotten to do a park on departure day before so we're excited about that too!

Also, we are surprising the girls with tickets to La Nouba on our DTD day! :wizard:

See y'all there! :woohoo:

Going as well, 14th -18th, celebrating dd's 2nd bday on the 16th. This will be her 3rd visit, but first time knowing who Mickey & Donald are (thank you Mickey's Clubhouse) this time I think she will absolutley adore it...staying at POR, love, love that place; so when she has a terrible 2's tantrum can just wisk her back to the room, and save and respect all other guests trying to enjoy their vacations! So if you see an exasperated momma and a screaming blonde toddler with a "It's my birthday" button, it is just us, and I apologize in advance! and say a quick HI! (I am just kidding, she is a good girl, and would not even think about taking her if she were that bad, just pre-planning, is all.)

I hope everyone going has a safe trip and a even more fabulous and magical time than your last, keep them getting better and better!!!!:goodvibes
Happy bday to your DD! mine is on the 17th!

Add 2 more!

DW and I will be there from the 16th to the 22nd and it is going to be a week of firsts for us...

..first trip without kids

..first trip that is NOT when school is out

..first time at the Poly

Our basic plan is:

Check in on the 16th and then off to MK for MNSSHP

Epcot on the 17th followed by EMH MK maybe

Open resort day on the 18th with dinner at DTD Raglan Rd

Hollywood Studios on the 19th with "Fantasmic Dinner" followed by EMH at Epcot maybe

AK on the 20th followed by EMH at HS maybe

MK on the 21st

Trying to decide about throwing in the Aloha Luau or the Hoop-de-do or the Pirates Fireworks Cruise, or all 3. Any opinions?

Joe

Count me in! Our school has a conference that all teachers will be attending so my kids have an extra long weekend coming up. With MNSSHP and F&W going on, I figured it was perfect timing.

Cannot wait, looking forward to it! :cool1:

Anybody packing pants for cool nights?

I usually bring one pair of levis, not for the Florida weather but in case it is going to be freezing when we get back home to New York.

On really cold days at WDW I will be in shorts but I will add a hoodie. I have never been so cold in Florida, even in December and February that shorts and a hoodie didnt keep me warm enough.

I am pretty sure that my DW will have only capri type pants with her, no long pants. Although she has been known to bring some kind of sweet pants/jacket ensemble thing when she flys.

The long range weather report has the lows as 60's while we are there.

Awesome! Low 60s is great. I can definitely handle that in shorts.

14-22 for us at BLT!! Mnsshp on the 18th!! Come check out the oct threads!

We have been going in the fall for many years, and although it seems like the crowds have gotten a bit bigger since we originally started going, I can honestly say that overall it is very manageable, and by all accounts one of the better times of year to go.

My advice (depending on how you plan your trip) is to hit the parks (especially EPCOT due to the F&W Fest) during the week, and use your weekend time to either relax by the pool. We usually arrive on a Saturday and just hit the pool and go out to dinner. We usually end up at a park on Sunday, but I find that hitting the parks during the week is much nicer.

I plan on going to the golf tourny one day, the wife and daughter will spend that day at the pool

We will be getting there on Tuesday the 17th - cant wait

I'll be there from 10/14 to 10/18, mostly for Sip & Stroll on the 16th & 17th but couldn't resist adding the weekend and day after. Will probably combo EPCOT and DHS on the 14th (Duffy T-shirt day!); haven't decided for the 15th and 18th but AK for at least one of them.
