Anyone Going Oct 15- 22??

We will be there from the 14 - 21! Surprise trip for my boys. I am just about to bust! Going to start packing this week!

Our plan:

14 - arrive around noon. Dinner at Garden Grill at 440 or San Angel Inn at 7. All depends on if the kids want to nap when we check in. They will have been up since 4am.

15 - Boma breakfast, then AK until close. Dinner at Earl of Sandwich!

16 - MK all day, then adults dinner out while boys are at a kids club!

17 - Epcot. Noshing round the world! Dinner is right now a monorail ride (or 2) away at Kona...but thinking I am going to change it to be in Epcot

18 - DHS followed by dinner at Kouzzina.

19 - Sleep in/swim in the morning day. MK later and staying for MSEP/Wishes

20 - Epcot with dinner at Tutto

21 - check out, head to MK. Our flight isn't until 6pm, so we will have lunch at the Plaza, then hit our faves one last time.

We usually go for 8 - 10 days, so 7 including travel days will seem short. But, I would take short vs. nothing in a heartbeat :)

We'll be there the 16-23. We fly down on the 15th but get in late and will be staying at an airport hotel and taking DME over in the morning. We went this same week last year and loved it. The weather was great, crowds were low and we love MNSSHP and the fall decorations.

We are going to do the party twice this year :cool1: so excited! We are doing the party on the 16th and the 18th.

We are going Oct 13-23 on our very first visit! We got lucky and booked the Dolphin before the blocks of rooms got sucked up by convention goers.

I don't know if I am up for the Lime Green DIS colors...off all the colors in the world, that is the one least likely to find it's way into my wardrobe. We'll be the happy family with our First Visit buttons and big smiles on our faces. :yay::yay:

No reason to wear it! Just go to a local Home Depot (if you have one) and look for the paint samples that are shaped like Mickey Heads. Look for the color "Alien Green". Laminate (to protect from the weather) and hang from your bag! Now you have your LGMH!

Here are our plans:

Staying at POFQ!
Oct 14- Arrival at 2:30pm and Check In! Dinner at Flying Fish at 7:40
Oct 15- Animal Kingdom Rope Drop. Dinner at Boma at 5:10.
Oct 16- Magic Kingdom Rope Drop. Downtown Disney for dinner.
Oct 17- Epcot World Showcase and Food and Wine. Illuminations.
Oct 18- Breakfast at Boma at 9:30. Downtown Disney. Dinner at Raglan Road at 6:45.
Oct 19- Lunch at Via Napoli at 12:45. Magic Kingdom for MSEP and Wishes.
Oct 20- Epcot Rope Drop. Dinner at Le Chefs at 5:50.
Oct 21- DHS Rope Drop. Lunch at Brown Derby at 1:05. Fantasmic (maybe).
Oct 22- Keys to the Kingdom Tour at 8:30. Free Day. Dinner at Jiko at 7:10.
Oct 23- Breakfast at Grand Floridian Café at 8:30. Leave for flight at 3:30.

US!!!! 16th - 21st!! POFQ! I'd kill for it to be longer, but we have an anti-plane train riding family member that uses up 4 days of travel time :o(

16th - Arrive - Dinner Cape May Cafe
17th - EPOCT
18th - HS
19th - MK
20th - AK

See you there!!!

I'll be there with my DD9 to celbrate her birthday from 10/19-10/24. Leaving the rest of the family behind and having a special trip. Counting the days. DD will open her gift on 10/8, suprise BD gift.:cool1::banana::woohoo::yay:

For those worried about convention business in Oct - don't be too concerned.
Orlando is a year round convention town. The Swan & Dolphin are considered "convention" resorts and both have plenty of rooms left through Oct.
What you will notice is the transient "family" business is low in comparison to June through early Sept.
Local attendance picks up for Food & Wine during the afternoons on the weekends.
Oct is a good time to visit.
I'll be there too!

We're getting excited! We leave a week from this Saturday!

On a funny note, last year we celebrated dd's birthday at wdw. She announced at dinner that she can't wait to celebrate again this year! Uh oh. Well, we'll be there two weeks before her actual birthday. She is turning 5. Dh said we should just let her wear the birthday button anyway. I guess he has a point, dates don't mean anything to her yet.

Joining the crowd at WDW Oct 15th - 20th as well. I'll be attending the IT conference and my wife will do park touring during the day by herself. I think she is looking forward to going in any direction she wants vs. following me and my plan :confused3

Coming in Saturday the 15th -- is the best park to hit that day Animal Kingdom then? I'd rather do Epcot or HS but don't want the big crowds on my only full touring day.

We will be there from the 19-24th....can't wait! Two weeks from today we'll be on our way! Sounds like we'll be in good company with all the dis'ers that will be there!

pirate:We will be there the 17th-22nd. It wil be my kids DD 4 and DS 1 first trip. My daughter knows we are going at some point-but planning on surprising her some way right before we leave!!princess:

Not sure if we are doing MNSSHP or not-we would do the party on the 20th if we do. Any thoughts on that for these ages??? We will be back-so I would rather wait and do it when they will get more out if need be =))))

Just my personal experience, I'd save your money. It's so late and it's hard for the little ones to stay up. And last year it was so crowded. We had to leave at 9pm because my kids were getting so tired. We didn't get to enjoy all the party had to offer (my kids were 8, 4, and 2).

October 14-23rd here for my Disneymoon. Arriving around 12p then going straight to the parks. We can't wait.

Animal Kingdom is the suggested park and Epcot is the park to avoid. Saturday's at Epcot during food and wine are insane and, unless you are willing to deal, you should stay away.

We'll be there Oct21st-23rd. Doing MNSSHP 10/21,F&W 10/22. We are very excited to vist WDW for the first time during this time of year :thumbsup2

We will be there 14-20! So excited! Running a thread on my itinerary: "Mid-October Advice Please" if anyone wants to check it out ... Was a bit confused on what/when to do because we decided to do just one park other than MNSSHP. I ran the final plan by DH earlier, and I guess he was stricken by the obvious insanity of our "logical" plan :lmao:... So as of this afternoon, we will now be doing MNSSHP and a day at each park!
party:

Going as well, 14th -18th, celebrating dd's 2nd bday on the 16th. This will be her 3rd visit, but first time knowing who Mickey & Donald are (thank you Mickey's Clubhouse) this time I think she will absolutley adore it...staying at POR, love, love that place; so when she has a terrible 2's tantrum can just wisk her back to the room, and save and respect all other guests trying to enjoy their vacations! So if you see an exasperated momma and a screaming blonde toddler with a "It's my birthday" button, it is just us, and I apologize in advance! and say a quick HI! (I am just kidding, she is a good girl, and would not even think about taking her if she were that bad, just pre-planning, is all.)

I hope everyone going has a safe trip and a even more fabulous and magical time than your last, keep them getting better and better!!!!:goodvibes

Busy week! Getting laundry done so I can start packing. I normally fill up the dining room table and then dh gets home and asks how on earth he is suppose to fit all that in the car :rotfl2:.

count 3 more in that week!! We leave Saturday for a week!!! See everyone at the Halloween party on the 16th! I am hoping for some Pixie Dust on the weather and low crowds!! Gotta get packing!! Woo hoo!!!:cheer2:

We get in LATE on the 14th!

The only things that are for sure are Epcot on the 16th, Chef Mickey reservations at 7:30 am on the 17th, MK on the 19th (BBB for the girls and then a late lunch in the castle) and the MNSSHP on the 20th.

We may do AK on the 21st, but travelling with a broken leg, I'm not sure how far I will get around :confused3
