Anyone Going March 2009??

I finally got a chance to look at the park hours and was a little disappointed. I've been to Disney on these exact dates for the last two years, but next year the hours are extremely shortened. Nothing is open past 9? And there aren't many evening EMHs. We are going March 1-8. Did anyone else notice this?

Does anyone think that they may be extended at some point?

Maybe they are waiting for that Pirate, Princess thing. I have been there before when the hours have changed from a shortened day to slightly longer.

We'll be there March 14-20. Staying at the Marriott Village free on hubby's Marriott Reward points! This will be my first time there since 1979, and the first for my boys ages 5 and 6. We will be celebrating my 5 year old's 6th bday!

Seems kind of quiet around here!
Anyway, I was torn as my dates are Feb 26-March 2 right now...do I post on a Feb or March thread?! lol What a dilemma, huh?

Anyway, in 07 DD and I took my mom this same weekend, works out great with DD's school schedule..
Weather was great, we attended the P and P party, hoping it might be the night of the 27th as the calendar shows MK closing at 7!

Its also EPSN weekend usually....but it didnt affect us.
We still havent decided where to stay...may do POP...DD wants AKV, but I am out of DVC points and rates are sky high unless I get a great AP rate!
Time will fly by..especially once the holidays are over

What is this pirate thing everyone's talking about?

Disney last year had a Pirate and Princess night thing where they closed the park a little early, and then re-opened at 7;00 ish with a pirate/princess theme. You pay extra to get in, all the rides are open with shorter lines, and you dress in the theme. They have a special parade for that theme, story times, character meets, special fireworks....that sort of thing. On some of the boards I have read that it wasn't a big seller last year, so they may rethink doing it, but I am really hoping that they do. Our son's B-day is the 27th and he is psyched to go in for free for his birthday, and really wants to do the pirate thing. I guess we will have to wait and see. I am still waiting for them to get the dining reservation system working so I can book our food venues.

I am hoping for the PPP...DD11 loved it....However, who knows how popular that theme will still be next year..however with the new Pirate rooms at CBR...?

Anyway, how exciting for your DS!! Have you stayed at OKW before? We stayed in June.
I guess I should start making ADR's..lol maybe just a few..she wants to do a character meal...too bad about LTT, the characters are great there, and no more lunch at Garden Grill

Yes, we own at OKW since 1997, so we have stayed there many times, and we love it!!! I called yesterday to ask about something, and inquired about the ADL--not up and running yet, said to check back in mid-Oct. for a planner like me, it is hard to wait!!!

oh, hopefully a few more weeks and thats it!

We had a 2 bdr and a studio in June...the 2 bdr's are so big!! We enjoyed OKW, it really felt like home in that villa!! Unfortunately I am out of points til APril 1....guess I am the fool with an April UY, LOL
Hopefully will get a decent AP rate! DD11 wants to stay close to Epcot...great...lol

We book 3/6-3/11 at CBR. We are not telling DD that we are going back. I am trying to think up ways to "tell" her about the trip in a Magical way.
