Anyone going in September 2007?

That's when we plan to go, but how is it at that time? I hear it's a good time to go. I've been nervous about doing these trips in the later months for fear of hurricane season, but do I have anything to worry about? I know somebody here can help me ease my mind. It was originally scheduled for May but there are a lot of things that have to be paid for in the beginning of next year and I really want to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, so September seems perfect since that'll give us enough time to get our finances cleared up.

Why am I so nervous about going at this time? I'm just so scared of hurricane season. I was always scared and hurricane Katrina did not help any. Nor did the other one, but I forgot that name.

We went late September 05. The crowds were low, but it was hot and humid. Last trip we went late October 06 - much cooler and more comfortable weather wise. As far the hurricanes in September...that is the season, but we didn't have any problems. We are actually planning our next trip mid September 07. The only thing I dread about that time of year is the hot, humid weather. However, traveling w/young kids we like shorter lines.

We've gone the past two Septembers and are planning on September 2007, too. The weather is HOT, the crowds are low, the price is right, and we didn't experience any hurricanes. You should go!

Ditto for me- we have went for a week each for the past 2 septembers- this is our time to go now perhaps!!!! We absolutely love this time of the year. September 2005 was way hotter than this past september however. The crowds are low and my family of 4 got the free dining plan 2 years in a row. As you can see from my ticker we are going back "home" next september as well. In 2008 I am planning a cruise- not to sure about september though because I have to admit I am a little nervous about hurricane season. During september at walt disney world to me is safer than being out on the open water in case of that hurricane approaching. We will probably end up going April 2008- ouch because the rates are like a thousand dollars more because it is there busy season- but what is a girl supposed to do you know??

We are going 9/19-23/07 and we cant wait. My DH and DS are Oregonians and do not mind rain AT ALL...Im a Southerner and have learned through the years just to live with it and humidity is normal. I cant wait. As long as no hurricanes come, were fine....Hope to meet up with some of you guys there!! Stephanie
