What were the crowds and the weather like. We will be heading down Feb. 27th - March 3rd, 2004. DH hates crowds.

We were there the 5th thru the 11th of March. The weather was beautiful between hi 70's to mid 80's. It got a little cool at night....but that just meant throw on a sweatshirt.
The crowds were next to none. Actually the slowest I've ever seen them this time of year. I think it was the combination of Easter being later and the impending threat of war. The only ride that you needed a FP for was Test Track.
I think this time is a great time to go....would do it again next year but dbf has a meet planned. We have always gone in March and loved it....but we usually go 2nd or 3rd week. I'm so happy we chose earlier this year because the crowds were so light.

That's what I was hoping to hear. I know you can never tell but it made my DH feel better. Thanks for responding.

Sorry to say this, but we were there the 1st through the 11th. The best days were the 5th,6th, 7th & 8th! It rained on and off (not just the typical afternoon summer shower thing) for the 3-4 days before that. I remember because my DH arrived on the 5th & brought the nice weather with him. When he left on saturday the 8th, we had one more looong evening of pouring rain, I think on Sunday the 9th. The 10th was beautiful.

Last year I was in Florida from the 9th-15th, and in Disney from the 11th-15. The weather the entire time was fantastic! Sunny, warm, cooler at night. BUT, I talked with a woman on the plane who said the entire week before (the first week of march) had been cold & rainy. Her son had been at Disney :(

Crowds were decent both years. Moderate. Nothing like September, but nothing like July either! :)

So, as you can see, it's hit or miss. I wouldn't worry about it, as there's really nothing you can do. Just pack the ponchos & a change of shoes! Zip lock bags are nice for keeping money & cameras dry.

We were there 2/23-3/3 and the temps. were great all week (mid 70s to mid 80s). My DH said it sure is great when the toughest decision you have to make every morning is whether to wear a short sleeved shirt or a tank top (especially escaping from our Michigan winter)! We had more clouds than sun the 2nd half of the week, with the intermittent downpours, but still had a great time. Crowd levels were low, great time to go, as a matter of fact we may do it again in 2004! ~:p~
