We are planning another trip to dw and we wanted to try for September is that a good time our should we try for another time ?

The weather is very warm, there's always the risk of hurricanes, and many rehabs are scheduled for September, but there are absolutely NO crowds. This has got to be one of the best times for crowds all year. Plus the hotels are cheap and it's easier to get discounts.

If you can deal with the possibility of less than pleasant weather, you can enjoy having the parks to yourself!

My son and I went last September with the threat of a hurricane looming (it went further west and smashed into Alabama) the parks were empty for the first 4 or 5 days there. We did all of the magic Kingdom in a little over 2 hours. :earboy2: Absolutely no wait in lines for anything! I've been twice in September and I'm considering going again this year at that time. As stated above....NO CROWDS, and the weather is nice if no Hurricane hits.

We go in september! It is awesome!
The weather is hot for some .... those who come from where it does not get very warm, and have no humidity! But I imagine all of the summer months are this way! :sunny:
Everyone thinks september is hurricane season, but in all reality, hurricane season lasts from either june or july, through november!

The parks, are practically barren! NO crowds :crowded:at all! The longest line we stood in last time, 2003 was space mountain, line was roughly 13 mins long!
Mission Space, we walked on each time! morning, noon and nite!
So, as far as we are concerned, we will always go september!
Plus, it is low season, and you can save a substantial amount on hotel/house rental!

I am SAVING to go around the end of Sept. to the begin of Oct.
Last time we want in 2000 it was around the 15th of Oct. for a week
I hear now that is a busy time, due to Mickeys not so scary Halloween.
Is that true? Also should I hold out for some of those great offers disney had for last fall. :cool1:

September is a great month for the parks! We had gone in April quite a few times and it was always crowded and busy. September was such a nice change. The best part of Sept. is that there are almost no lines for rides. We walked on to most of them. I think the longest we had to wait for a ride was 15 mins. The only down side was that it rained a little more than I would have liked. No problem..we brought our ponchos and kept having fun! We liked it so much we are going back this Sept. :earsboy:

September is a wonderful month to be @ WDW.
Not many kids..YaHoo!!
Guess most parents are reluctant to take the kids out of school @ the beginning of the year!

Great to see that Sept is a good time to go. I will at the Pop sept 10-17th.

We love to go in September. The crowds are nothing compared to the summer months. We were scheduled to go September of '04, but because of Hurricane Ivan we changed it for October '04. Big mistake. The place was pretty much empty the week we were supposed to go and they didn't even have to close the park. I would definately recommend September. That is when we are going this year again. By the way...very cute dog. My mom has a mini. ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

My DH & I are going the exact same week. We are staying at CSR. Can't wait!!! :cheer2:

Dh, dd (4.5) , ds (2.5), and myself will be going on our first family vacation/ 5yr wedding anniversary in September as well! We'll probably be staying at All Star Movies (for the kiddies). We're thinking Sept 11- 19. CAN'T WAIT!!! :cool1:

Sept. 24th thru the 30th for us at Movies.

We are hoping for the lesser crowds as well. Youngest DS 8, is excited both about the trip and missing 5 days of school (but he's an A/B Student) so it shouldn't hurt. Plus, I am hoping he has a teacher who may give him some work to do that Friday night/Saturday morning before we leave

Sept. is one of the most active hurricane months, but in Florida, they really are rare to hit. It's been about 40 years since we got one, of course we got both Frances and Jeanne. So I am hoping for the better odds, and that that Bermuda High that steered them our way last year will finally break up here soon. Just in case we will shutter up our home before we leave so we will not have to worry about that part if we are up there, only have to worry about our small zoo at our home.

I will always choose Sept for as long as I can get away with it (until kids are too bust with school). It was super uncrowded & fp was not even working most of the time since the rides were "walk on". It was pretty darn hot but never rained once. Of course we were delayed a day due to Jeanne but hopefully that was a fluke & you won't see 4 hurricanes in one yr again!! It was really easy to get a ps, even for PSB & CRT! A lot of our ps's got messed up due to the hurricane but I still had no problem getting into restaurants on the day I wanted to eat! Now we are spoiled by the low crowds and lower prices and could never go back at a different time!

September is the BEST! They actually allowed us to continue riding some of the rides last year because there were no lines. Yes, there is the threat of the hurricances...but DH and I are chancing it again this year!

September was good. It is hot though. (hotter than May in our opinion) We was there about time for Ivan so it was slow. We thoguht it was more fun with a few more people though. (I know crazy) WE did get to stay on Test Track three times without getting off. The crowd at that time seem to all be experts and are not as "ooohhh ahhhh". I am a people person so like watching the "oooooohs and ahhhhs" of first timers. :lovestruc

We were lucky enough to dodge two hurricanes. It was rainy and hot the while trip, but very little crowds the first week. We took DD11 out of school, with the blessing of the school principal. I would have loved to go again in Sept, but DD will be going into 7th grade this year, so to take her out the first week or so would be bad, IMHO. Unfortunately, this means her AP will expire 9/20, so we have to buy a new one, and DD2 will then be 3, so we will have to pay for her, and the room rates will be higher. In the grand scheme of things, I think I made the right decision.... Maybe we will take advantage of the new APS and go next Sept. On the other hand, we will get to do MNSSHP again this year, and go to the tent sale at the outlets (maybe our savings will offset the extra 1000. this trip will cost us). If you can go in Sept, I would. Just keep in mind that it will probably be more rainy, and there is the increased (not probable, just increased) possibility of hurricanes.
