I am shocked! Never in a million years would I have dreamt this. Wow.
And they cancelled hockey. That never happens.
Now lets get this vaccine going so we can get our ears back on!

We just cancelled our trip. This is a sad day in our house.



Honestly they should ban travel. Cancel March Break, put us all back in school for the week (since we can't go anywhere anyway) and then give us a break later once this settles down.

They cancelled school for three week concerned with community spread . Going back to school aka large groups will only spread two virus further

BC's provincial health officer has just recommended no non essential travel outside of Canada. All public employees who travel will be required to quarantine for 14 days! and all others should as well if they travel.

New Brunswick has said the same. Only government employees flat out aren't allowed to travel outside the province.

Local update from WDW. Just arrived before 7pm checked in. Put bags away was going up BLT to watch fireworks. Bam told as of sunday all Parks close till end if month. So until i talk with DVC member services to find out what happens to our points they are saying hotels and DSprings remain open. Should be able to get refund on dining plan and the front desk says since we checked in but have not gone to parks our tickets MIGHT be made as no expiry. So really out the points cost for the week. 24 hour drive down. And now looki g at just turning around and driving home. Girls upset. But hey life lesson and plug on.

I am truly sorry. I can only imagine the disappointment.

But don't drive home! You don't know what is ahead for your holiday. For all you know this could be one of your family's best memories. Could be peaceful and full of new experiences. One never knows.

Oh no I am so so sorry. I hope they work with you to get you some refund/credits back. It isn't your fault they closed after all. They told us our tickets are good until Dec. 2021 so I would assume yours will be the same. Hopefully you guys can enjoy some sun/warm weather and quiet family time.

Thank you for the update. We are sitting in a hotel room in Charleston right now and are supposed to be in Orlando tomorrow to check into a rental house. Disney tickets were to start Saturday. I'm pretty sure we are turning around and heading back home. It does suck but I'd rather have disappointed kids than be stuck here. After how today unfolded, nothing would suprise me in the days to come. Stay safe all.

Not sure but I think you answered a question I had. Do you know for sure they keep the value you paid if you let them expire? I'd rather a refund too but at least it's something.

The person I got on the phone at Delta returned the money to my credit card and I had Basic Economy tickets.

So when I called, they said I had to use them by Sept 30th, and after that date, they would 'disappear' from my online profile. However, the value is still technically tied to your disney account, so you would simply just need to call them to make a new booking in the future, and they would be able to apply the credit to your purchase then.

My husband, DD7, DD9 and 5 other family members have arrived in Orlando on Wednesday. I had to leave later because of work. My flight is later today.... don't know what we will do.

We've rented a house with a pool and we would be content just relaxing and mostly staying in. We don't see each other often.
Would we have known what we know now, we would have cancelled.

Part of me feels we have already started the holidy and just wants to make the most of the time we have together. The other part feels guilty.... but then things changed so quickly... how could we have known!

Disney refunded my Canadian Resident tickets (purchase in February directly from Disney) when I called on Tuesday morning. They said the refund would take 7-10 business days.
