I just got the SW email and it says that they have $59 tickets to Orlando, booking through March. I checked my dates 12/16-12/23 from RDU to MCO and its still the same as it has been. Anyone getting $59 coming up for them? This is what I have been waiting for and I still cant get it!!UGGGGG!!!!

I got a Ding! with SWA from Cleveland yesterday for $54 for the early AM flight and $64 for the rest of the day, good for the month of October M-W and F travel only.

My Dec are still $79 as well on the systemwidw sale.

Here's hoping for a Ding to come. But I don't think we will see them until Nov.
My dates are very close to X-mas just like yours so that has me worried they might get blackedout from the Dings.

If so thats OK as $200 RT is my Break point and I already have that beat as well as $112 RT for our Oct trip.

I'm also waiting for lower rates - PVD is $135 each way for Dec. 15 arrival, coming home of Christmas eve. :confused3

My December flight from BDL has been $145 one-way for months and doesn't show any signs of coming down no matter what promotion SW claims to be having.

I checked for Pittsburgh to Orlando andd the lowest is $79+ taxes. Hopefully they will lower them "as advertised". :confused3

Hi, I am also getting $135. from PVD to MCO (12/17-22) lowest price each way. I already purchased my return flight at $135.because I wanted the NS AM flight ( and that catagory is UNAVAILABLE now). So I am just waiting to see if I can get a cheaper flight into MCO, seeing as the whole day is pretty much open! I am ALWAYS checking SWA and this BOARD,so PLEASE post if you see prices drop!! :thumbsup2 Thanks, Joan

I guess as long as in one market, the price is $59 then they still meet truth in advertising laws! For me, am only looking at return MCO to STL for 11/5. I bought at 159 and it's still that. There was a blip where it went to 170. so I guess that means it's a sale now.

Hoping we'll some day see dings for November!

I don't know in anyone is interested, but I booked Continental from PVD to MCO for 12/9-12/16 for $197 pp. There was one layover each way though, but I am willing to take that because I do not like Southwest boarding.

Just FYI for you PVD people. :bitelip:

Our dates are the same as yours but we are flying out of New Orleans. Prices are still the same for us as well . Hopefully we will have more luck with a good DING fare later in November.

I'm also waiting for a better fare from RDU-MCO, but for Jan '07. I went ahead and booked them at $94/OW and am keeping my fingers crossed that they'll go down. So far, the only Dings that have been showing up from RDU to anywhere have been through October, not beyond, so I'm not expecting the Jan. ones 'til November or December.
I'm guessing that the Dings for your flights wwill start showing up sometime in October, and certainly by November.
Good luck to you (and me).

Our rates really did not change with the new $59 sale at Southwest. Last year, if I remember correctly, they realeased through February 3rd around September 25. I got a Ding in early October for $29 ow (January) from BNA to MCO. Do you think there is any chance of getting a January DING before Nov-Dec? I hope so.

Hitown-I too live in the St. Louis area and was a little unhappy with the SWA rates to/from Orlando. I just booked rountrip from Chicago to/from Orlando for just $69 each way. What I am doing is on the way there is I am taking the train from Alton, IL (I actually live in Creve Coeur, but this station is much better than downtown and cheaper) to Chicago-it's less than $20 with AAA discount. Thus, I will fly non stop from Chicago to Orlando on the way there. On the way back, however, I picked a flight that has 1 stop in St. Louis that requires a change in planes. Thus, I plan just to not get back on the connecting flight. When I was checking the rates for my dates (10/18-10/23/06) the rates where $149 rountrip from St. Louis to/from Orlando.

We got the $ 59 fare from PHL to MCO on Nov 1st and then on our return on Nov 7. It was $ 79 and it came down last week so I went ahead and booked. I noticed there were several days around this time that had $ 59 fares. There has been no dings yet but I figured I better go ahead and book. Just keep checking - hopefully yours will come down!

I was excited to see that Orlando was the featured destination today. BUT when I went to check BUF-MCO for some Dec/Jan dates , these dates are still showing up at $145.

Mid-December to early January is a tough time to get cheap airfare. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good Ding! otherwise we will be driving again this year.

I got the same email, but, it said: "as low as......". or "starting at....". It does not mean every market is going to be 59.00, unfortunately. You are traveling at a prime travel time, I would be surprised, and very happy for you, if the fares dropped.

True. . . but it would be nice to see at least the fares at the higher end. It said $59 to $159. I'm not surprised to not see the $59 fare but I thought there might at least be a $159 fare. :confused3
