Did anyone else receive their Kindle Fire today? From the threads here on the Budget Board, it seems like a lot of people ordered them.
I pre-ordered last month, and actually decided to cancel since I figured the Fire is a duplication of my iPad. But, I forgot to cancel until it was too late. Since it has a 30 day no questions asked return policy, I decided to open it up and play with it before I send it back.
It's a REALLY cool device, especially for only $199. If I didn't already have an iPad, I would definitely keep it.

For what I need, I'm pleased. It's bigger than my Itouch which is nice because I like to check the weather, late night news etc... before I go to sleep and the larger screen size is friendlier on my eyes. Most of the apps I regularly use on my Itouch are available (weather.com, Pandora, Facebook etc...) on the Fire and it's really easy to purchase and download them from the Fire itself. It came already registered to me and it went on our wireless network without any problems. The clarity of the screen and colors are good, so no complaints there. The Netflix streaming is good, but our wireless was being slow so the buffering wasn't great, but when the wireless was cooperating, the picture was nice.
