Anyone get an AP rate on a deluxe room at WL?

I was playing around on disneyworld.com trying to see what would be available for a family of 6 (other than the obvious 2 rooms, or a 2 bedroom DVC, or a wilderness cabin). And I came across a deluxe room at the WL that had 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. Has anyone ever stayed in this type of room with a discounted rate? If so, what was the rate (if you don't mind sharing  )? The rate quoted online was around $500/night, so I know I could do a lot better with two rooms or a DVC rental, but I'm curious.

Not exactly what you're looking for but wanted to share AP rate for 3/3-3/5 at Wilderness Lodge, Woods view = $192/night; $214/nt including all fees and taxes.

Contemporary was $242/nt excluding taxes/fees and
Poly was $302 excluding taxes/fees.

We have four kids (one under 3), so can only fit in the deluxe or a 2-BR VWL. We've rented DVC points before, and the amount of space is amazing (plus, the large jacuzzi tub - aahhhh...) I tried for both a AAA and an AP rate for WL junior suite/deluxe room, but nothing lower than $500+.

So we're renting DVC points for a five night stay (Sun - Thursday) at VWL for $400/night (late Feb - Early March) and then moving to BWI for three nights at an AP rate (but a much smaller accommodation.)

We are a family of 6, we stayed at a deluxe room two years ago, The room was very small not enough drawer space to unpack, this year we were able to get ap rate for two connecting rooms. We enjoyed it much better having 2 bathrooms and a room all to ourselves was amazing. the deluxe is not woth 500 a night thats for sure. hope this helps.

Wow, I thought my thread had died and gotten lost in the deep dark following pages with no answers. ;) Thank you very much for the replies and good info. :sunny: Sounds like two rooms or a DVC is still the best option. ::yes::
