Anyone get AAA or 40% off AKL CL 12/07 ?

I am wondering if anyone has been able to get any discount AKL CL for 12/07? I have been trying for about 5 monthes to get a AAA discount or use the 40% of code for AKL CL for 12/7/07 for 3 nights with no success. I am wondering if there are no AAA rates available because of the renovations or if they just aren't out yet. I did get really good deals on WL and Poly CL (I hadn't planned on staying CL but the rates were great) .I had planned to stay AKL CL for the Sunrise safari but I am really hoping I don't need to pay rack rate.Do you think AAA rates or other discounts will be available for AKL CL for 12/07 or do you think the renovations have made that unlikely?

If they have any discounts on the CL, maybe it is very tight with rehab going on there? Just a thought, ....I am there myself in Dec and not sure how rehab is going to affect if any on what rooms or what is being rehabed. Unless it is just DVC. I do have a pool view with the 40% off.

Just last night my husband and I started talking about going in Dec. instead of March. And with the money we would save, tossed around the idea of the AKL. But I didn't know about the construction. Could someone please tell me what's going on at the AKL and how it might affect our visit because we could wait and stay another time and stay at CSR, which was our original plan. Thanks!!!

Wel they are adding a DVC to AKL.They are refuring some one the original rooms on the top floors and turning them into DVC rooms and then they are adding another building next to AKL and making that DVC also.

Just last night my husband and I started talking about going in Dec. instead of March. And with the money we would save, tossed around the idea of the AKL. But I didn't know about the construction. We just booked @ AKL a Savannah view room and were NOT able to get a AAA rate for Dec. 8 & 9. When I was asking about it they made it sound like all the AAA rates were already gone for that time. I always thought you could get a AAA rate for AKL almost any time. I guess I will have to keep trying.
