DH and I are hoping to go in November with ds#1 and ds#2 (7.5 and 3 at the time). We don't know if ds#2 will be out of his crib yet and in a big bed, but in the event he's not, I see from the HotelKingdom link that you can request a crib, if available.

Does anyone know if it's really a crib or just a pac 'n play? Ds#2 will not sleep in one of those, and I would need a real crib. If needed, I'd have to rent from somewhere to be sure.

Thanks.

janets,
We will be staying @ Cypress Pointe in May and our youngest will be 10 months old and need a crib. I called CP and they only have pack n plays, not full-size cribs, and you cannot reserve one, you just have to take your chances when you check in that they have one. Our son will not sleep in a packnplay, so we are renting a full-size crib from A Babys Best Friend- www.abbf.com. It is $70 for the week and they deliver to the resort. That will definitely be money well-spent. :)

We stayed at CP last September. The first night we checked in they were out of cribs and told me to call back every day to see if one became available. For some reason they couldn't just write it down. On the 3rd day we finally got a pack-n-play and it was filthy. My husband got mad and called the front desk. He was appalled that the resort would have the guts to even loan it. It really wasn't even fit for a dog. The next day (day 4) they finally brought us a port-a-crib. It was clean but wobbly. We had a refurbished unit, so it wasn't too bad because the 2nd bedroom had a daybed with a trundle bed. The trundle bed was close to the floor, so we just put pillows beside it. Our son was 18 months old. It wouldn't want this set-up, though, for an infant. If you really need a crib, rent one. The rest of the villa was very clean. But the cribs were horrible.

We were there last week of September and although the resort seemed about
half full or less. We were able to get the last pack n play, when it arrived
it was broken. No way to fix it do to the latches (buttons) inside being
broken off. We ended up buying one and leaving it with relatives for our
next trip. Didn't get much use out of it since our almost 1yr old didn't like
to sleep in it. CP is very nice but I wouldn't be to confident in them to supply
a pack n play or crib.

called CP and they told me they have either Pn'P or portacribs. Since ds#2 will be over 3 by then, he'll be too big for either (even forgetting the fact that he won't and has never slept in a Pn'P). Given that there is a trundle bed, I can put him on that, leaving it close to the floor and putting some pillows on the floor in the case of roll off.

Thanks.
