Anyone Game? It’s my Sep 2013 Blog! I'm home; with a TR link in #1189, 10/14

Yay for a new tripod! That means all 3 of us have just bought one. What tripod did you just buy Jade?

I can't wait to start trying to take fireworks pics. I was having a play around tonight and put a good quality fireworks You Tube video up on the TV. I set my camera up facing the TV, turned all the lights off, and then started playing around with shutter speed. It probably sounds really silly, but I actually learnt quite a lot. :-)

Am I right to assume your fireworks on the 1st will be at MK? If so, perhaps we could catch up early avo after my lunch ADR?
Because of all the tempting sweet treats around Epcot, my family will probably only get an entree at San Angel, so we should be finished with lunch by 1. Perhaps we could meet around then for dessert and/or a drink?

Karina

You and I posted nearly at the same time.

I was going to suggest the Cava at Mexico but then realised we are better off wandering the F&W booths instead. We can probably meet up outside Mexico or something and then take it from there. Or we can wait to check out the proposed blissful bites and then decide what sweet and drink we want to enjoy and meet at the appropriate booth. :thumbsup2

I wish I'd found this earlier because now it's taking me forever to catch up! I'm so jealous of your trip. It sounds amazing.

Since we're staying at the Beach Club on the same dates I imagine our paths will probably cross at some point. It looks like we're hitting a few of the same restaurants, too.

My grandmother was a big Murder, She Wrote fan and she loved the movie version of Driving Miss Daisy, so reading that Angela Lansbury is starring in the play makes me feel all nostalgic. But I doubt I could make it to Australia in time to see one of the performances. Darn.

Hello! I'm joining in - I've quite enjoyed your photography skills as I've gotten caught up with most of the happenings over here :) Sounds like you have a completely marvelous trip planned

Hi Karina

I have a blue MeFoto. It arrived yesterday, but I won't get a chance to play with it until the weekend. I like the fireworks on TV idea. To be honest, I have always found tripods to be a hassle, so will be making myself learn how to use it.

I'm easy. After lunch suits. I can send DH back to the resort with the kids for a swim, though I will possibly have DD8 with me.

So funny. We'll all have a Mefoto - a blue, purple and orange one :-)

Great, let's make it after lunch. My DH and son will probably wander back to the resort for a rest or swim also. Either that or they'll go off and do some rides. That way I'm free to enjoy our Dismeet and some delicious snacks.

I'm no expert on Epcot meeting places, so will just go with wherever you 2 decide.

Hello! Thanks for stopping in here.

Yes, a Murder She Wrote fan here....although I prefer to think that I'm not quite yet at your grandmother's age (yet).

Well, I think the Melbourne season ends this week; so its going to be near impossible to catch it here.

Hope to run into you at the BCV and at the parks.

Looking forward to counting down towards late September with both of you. We're all at WDW at the same time. :goodvibes

We can compare colours!

After lunch sounds good. Let's wait to see what Blissful Bites are available and we can pick a booth to meet at. Alternatively, we can try for the Boulangerie in France or Kuche Karamel in Germany.

:thumbsup2

Gotta say, seeing Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones in the same show is pretty cool. Those two probably won't be around much longer, and that'll be a memory I'm sure you'll cherish.

I'm in, I'm here, and I'm caught up!! And......I'm supremely envious. :worship: Sounds like a fantastic journey for you all! Can't wait for more! popcorn::

Yes, it sure is a memory I'll cherish forever.

YAY!! Thanks for joining in. There's still 4.5 months to countdown.

Awesome work organising your MeFoto tripod, I mean ANZ, Dismeet.

Yup. I figure the tripods will enjoy sharing notes about their respective owners. I'm pretty sure mine will be whining about me dragging it out into sand and desert. ;)

I've truly turned into an old fogie, I could have sworn I posted last night, I even remember telling DH about it. I'll blame it all on work instead of getting older.:rotfl:

That's so awesome you saw the Driving Miss Daisy show with Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones.:thumbsup2

That's okay. I sure understand how that four-letter word 'w-o-r-k' gets in the way. :flower3:

It's Another PTR from one of the Gamers!

Folks - It's getting to that time where fellow DisMeet buddies are starting their PTRs. :cool1:

franandaj has started hers. It's gonna be fun to be jumping backwards and forwards on hers and mine!

Link here.

I'll be placing her link at the start of my TR as well; so you can easily find it.

Watching Mrs Potts and Mufasa on stage sounded awesome. That is really cool. The cake redo looked good. I bet it gets a little better every time I'd you keep it up.

Thanks for the link. Now we can update in stereo (for those kids of sixties who understand what a monumental break through in sound that was :lmao:) for the rest of you, it's just the speaker to speaker effects you're used to! :rotfl:

ETA: I was going to point out that it was used in Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love", but there might be some folks here who wouldn't even understand that reference! :rotfl2: I really AM getting old this birthday!

There is one building at the zoo where there are some amphibians. It was here that I got a couple of eye-candy shots that I was happy with.

This is the pic I was trying to think of. I take because it's an amphibian exhibit, it's a frog or toad as opposed to the crocodile I remembered.

Very cool. I love the reflection of his eyes in the water. As you can probably tell from my first blog entry, I have a bit of a soft spot for reflection pics.

Sorry. :sad2: I've just learnt how to add pics to the Disboards from photobucket and are a bit excited.

Meerkat Manor!! Congrats on posting pics to the Disboards. :thumbsup2

That picture was actually a crocodile.
